Stuck between 2 girl's names

I don't think Willow is out there now, I know one and she is a cutie. I think I prefer it over Anya though, Its personal preference, I have an Alice and Temperance so the second one is unusual, my mum tried to put me off them both but I stook and now my mum says she always liked Alice (she didn't she said she wouldn't use it) Your parents have had there chance to name babies lol. And children arnt really called Becky and Sarah much anymore it will be Willow, Evie, grace, Cooper and Jenson etc in there class. There is even a little boy called Hiratio at baby and toddler xx

I love both really pretty . My youngest is Aamor and we got ripped over her name 4 weeks by the in laws so hurtful at the time , u always want close family and friends 2 love the name , but as long as u love it go with it xx

Well a friend just informed me Luna was a name used in Harry Potter? Tbh i have no idea since I read part of first book and hated it so never looked at the series haha, could be good girl or a bad girl in the stories, no clue. We know Willow can relate to a few characters in movies and TV too but they are older shows now. I bet if we went with Luna we'd get the "oh named from Harry Potter" questions

As far as I remember from the films, she's good, one of Harry's friends (I think, been years since I watched the films!) at least you could say actually I had no idea about the Harry Potter reference!

I agree. My parents weren't keen on our daughter's name (Eleanor), but we named her that anyway! You have to go on what you and your OH both like. Thinking about you already having a middle name, can you not have 2? When I was expecting Daniel I wanted William as a middle name and my OH wanted Andrew, so in the end we went with both.

As for Anya and Willow, I like them both. Anya sounds strong and Willow is pretty.

I think both are really nice, I know a couple of Willow's and they've never been picked on for their name, I think thats quite ridiculous of your parents to say. Go with what you both like. Chances are when shes born, she might look more like one than the other and that'll swing it for you! xx

So my and OH decided on Willow. I've not told my folks but was at parents house last night and my father throwing girls names at us and again arguing over how horrible Willow would be.
I'm not going to listen to him but I will be really disappointed if he acts up when she's here and we announce name.

I think you've made the right decision, Willow is a beautiful name! All that matters is that you and your OH love it, your parents don't matter, they'll just get used to it. When we discussed the name Caleb for our DS, my Mum liked it, then totally went off it and was just non-stop saying she hated it... I told her to mind her own business and she could stop commenting on our name choices and get on with life! Needless to say we named him Caleb and she loves it now, and at nearly 2.5 years old everyone says he suits his name, they always do in the end!!

Oh dear. Soo I knew this would happen. I've started not to like Anya.. well I like it but I don't love it anymore. Since then OH has had two more suggestions, Scarlett and Kira. I really like both.
So back to square one.
