I had my LO Jan 16th by C section, and I'm still bleeding almost 4 weeks on and it's bright red still, I was under the impression it would get lighter/pink at this stage but it hasn't...I went to triage last week for this is it because it was gushing out, they put me on antibiotics because they didn't know why it was happening, I've finished the dosage now and I'm still bleeding...

When did everyone stop bleeding? Was anyone bleeding this much?

I want to dtd so I am getting frustrated and impatient!! haha

Its so annoying! It's more when I breastfeed too.... Only reason is because I want to dtd haha it's been ages

I didn't have a section but I bled for 6 weeks. I actually stopped for a day and then got my period straight away! Xx

You will bleed more when you breastfeed, as breastfeeding makes your uterus contract. I believe you can bleed for up to 8 weeks post partum. :(

Hmm i breastfed dd2 and bled only 3weeks, weathers with my bottlefed babies it was much longer.

4 weeks isnt an abnormal time to bleed.

I bled 6weeks with my first, vaginal birth. (ff)
I bled 3weeks with my second, vaginal birth. (bf)
I bled 10 weeks with my third, section birth. (ff)

What I mean is, that whilst physically breastfeeding, your bleeding temporarily increases. I bled for 3 weeks (but haemorrhaged during labour, so possibly had less left to lose), and definitely had more blood after a feed. :)

I ve just stopped bleeding.....I think! 5 weeks tomorrow.
