I ve not been taking folic acid (but going to get some tomorrow) so my husband has bought us both a large fillet steak each
I normally like my steak red in the middle (medium, rare) but not sure this is safe in early pregnancy, does any one know??
I am so scared of eating anything wrong I dont know what I can and cant eat!!!! I ve even given up pepsi max , and I love that!!!!!!
Thanks guys

We're not supposed to eat meat that is undercooked - sorry for the bad news, I like my steak practically blue so I cant bring myself to eat a well done steak thats why Im avoiding it! Its my favourite thing!

Rosie's Mummy is right, the steak will need to be well done. I've been avoiding them for the same reason, I like mine pink in the middle. Roast beef has been a no-no for me too, I just can't bear to ruin it for everyone else haha!

Thanks, I ve eat the steak, well cooked through (didnt burn it though) just put garlic salt and peper and did it in the george forman so it was still juicy, mmmm it was good too!!!

I've really been craving rare steak since i've known I can't have it as well :-( that and runny eggs with my bacon butty :-(

Seriously how the he'll have we survived as a species?! How did we manage to have healthy babies without all these lists of stuff of what to eat, what not to eat etc etc. Sometimes it just drives me mad! One of my friends actually said 'i can't eat that because I'm pregnant' and then went on to drink the 'recomended' amount of alcohol every Sunday! I wouldn't eat anything that might harm bubs but sometimes I just wanna scream!

I've actually been very lucky in that most of things you're not supposed to have are things that I wouldn't normally have in everyday life anyway! I do miss shellfish, but that's about it!
