Has anyone got any good tips for spd? Im nearly 34 weeks and im really struggling. I cant walk, cant look after my kids properly, cant drive and most days im in tears its really making me depressed being in pain all the time. Ive got constant stomach pains, back ache and my legs really really hurt. Dreading going through this for another 6 weeks. Im seeing the midwife on tuesday. I thought it would be better once i stopped working but its just as bad

Hi I'm 34 weeks also and have been suffering this since 15 weeks it's a killer. Get your midwife to refer you to physio they will fit you with a support belt to help hold the weight of the baby off your pelvis also I'm on crutches which helps slightly. My advise is to take it easy but still keep moving. When getting out of bed roll out with legs closed. Sit on the sofa with legs up. If the pain is at the front sit with an ice pack on it for 10mins at a time. If the pain is at the back you need warmth so a hot water bottle. Put a carrier bag on the seat of your car to help you swivel out of the car. Take stairs one at a time. You are allowed paracetamol so take that if you need it. Also get help with house work iv been told I shouldn't be really doing any physical jobs. Easier said than done tho I know. I feel your pain but please tell your midwife to refer you asap the support belts and crutches do help a little. Take it easy xx

Yep everything becsybabe said. My NHS also did some acupuncture on me. I've seen an osteo in the past for a non-pg back issue and he's told me he could treat any future PGP so maybe worth looking into that? x
