Hi all,

First of all...sorry this is a bit of a self-indulgent rant so apologies in advance.

I am just feeling really rubbish at the minute. I am about 7.5-8 weeks and although not sick constantly, I am constantly nauseous and have aches and pains everywhere.

My biggest problem is the aches and pains in my abdomen - I went for an early scan but they said everything was fine ie: in the right place and no cysts on ovaries etc. It hasn't got any better though and it's been weeks now and is really get me down.

Basically, it's like a constant pressure or ache in the pelvic area that sometimes turns into a cramp and also goes down my legs. It never seems to go away! It seems worse when I need the loo or have just been or have been sitting or standing too long - surely this is crazy so early on?

What scares me more is the sharper pains that are like little tiny stabs in the same area - they never last long in themselves but they can be really painful which I never expected. They checked and there was no urine infection.

So....my GP's advice was paracetemol and see if it goes away but I can't stop thinking there might be something else wrong.

Could anyone give me some advice or their experiences? Thanks so much...xx

Hi honey, sounds like you having the bad time we all dread. :puke: ..Well i will try to reassure you alittle if i can  ....Well it sounds like you are having what are called round ligament pain.. :x ..These are the muscles that hold your uterus in place are starting to stretch with your enlargeing womb.....I would suggest that you try to rest as much off you feet as you can, take warm regular baths and lay off the painkillers...When you start getting the pain, just like in labour breathe deepluy, which incites your bodies natural painkillers...this should help... :|

As for the sickness well then can i suggest a favourite of mine which works wonders, :D Cherry and chocolate ice cream with loads of fresh strawberries :D a cure for all our pg nasties...Hope things get better for you and i hope that you get to enjoy the most precious thing you will ever experience.Take care all the best justine...Proud mum of 8 .......

hi there, you could buy it seperaterly, but if you have a lidl near you then go there and look for a cherry and chocolate bomb....It might read Kirsch und chocolat bombe, ice cream....Then i have to say the best strawberries are from tesco.spanish ones..Failing all that any cherry and chocolate icecream will do but you must have sweet strawberries......Give it a go it is the best.....Even if you not pg....Are you feeling any better yet....
