Hi all  Hope everyone is well. Just a wee question.

Does it hurt when your midwife feels the bottom of you bump to check where bubs head is? Mine really pushes down and it gets quite sore. Only at the time though. as soon as she stops its fine.

I dont remember it hurting but it maybe cos you are more engaged than me?

My belly hurts whenever she touches it! I just havea sore tum!
But I do remember it being a bit painful with my others when they shake the bottom of the bump to feel the head!

Doesn't normally but I nearly jumped off the bed this afternoon when she dug her fingers in to have a feel for the head!

Hi Hope you all well.

Bubs not engaged yet. Just really deep down.

Its only the bit where she feels for the head and asks me to breath in. Glad someone else gets this....although not wanting you to be in pain!!!

Yeah, my midwife is really rough and hurts when she examines me. I would never dream of poking and prodding my LO as hard as she does but i trust that she knows what she's doing!

Yep! My MW was wiggling the bubbas head yesterday, and I ended up with cramp after

My normal midwife is lovely and has never hurt me.

I saw the other midwife last week (despite asking when I made the appointment for my normal midwife) and she had a student with her,

The student was lovely and gentle and said where she thought baby's head was, where the spine was lying etc and that she thought the head was free. The midwife then dug her fingers in so hard it made me squirm and shook baby's head so mch I wobbled in order to confirm the student was correct! I just don't understand how two people can have such different approaches and come to the same conclusion - surely there's no need to be that rough? (I'd have that student look after me anytime even though she did look younger than me!)

Oh yes! The last time I got examined at 28 weeks, it was really quite sore when she pushed in to find baby's position. She said this was ok and would be the way the baby was lying. I was sore for 2 days after this but it calmed down.

yup last time i went she really hurt me and it was the first time i saw my new midwife, going again tomorrow so hopefully she will be kinder tomorrow.

I am seeing my midwife tomorrow.. hope she doesn't hurt me as much as last time.
