does labout come on all of a sudden or diddddd u av more warning? im 40 + 3 days...n im not seeing any signsss......xx

mine went quick started with twinges then before i knew it full blown labour never lost any plug either

mine came out of nowhere 1.20am started getting contractions when i was 4 days over due x

I had tummy ache put it down to the runs I had for.the last.few.days before. Went to bed with tummy.ache slept with every cushion and pillow I had piled in front of me and I laided over them to wake up after an hour with a damp feeling I am unsure if they way I laided popped my waters but defo gonna.do that again. Waters went as soon as I got up and that was that. X x

mine was sloooooow - went in on the thursday morning - had her on the sunday morning!

they couldn't do a sweep at 41 weeks as cervix was SO posterier and closed!

.... was induced 7 days over (which did nothing except give me slight contractions)

... was induced again 8 days over (still not much happened)

... by 9 days over i was 2cm so they broke my waters after which i got to 5cms dilated and had epidural then needed the drip to speed up contractions...

finally had her at 2am the next day - 10 days over!

loved every minute of it but was just surprised that induction coould take so long to work! best experience ever and i loved the epidrual and gas and air!!! can't wait to do it all over again! :)

My 1st started as twinges and got progressively stronger-gave birth 24 hours later.
My 2nd was v similar although didn't progress for 12 hours then went from 2.5 cms to delivered in 3 hours.
My 3rd also started as twinges but ended up with section due to breech.
My 4th I had a sweep at 41 weeks, lost plug that night, twinges started next evening and gave birth following morning xx

lost a lil bit of plug next day lost a huge amount of plug at around 3 and had period pains from there on started feelin contractions at 9 that were in a pattern had baby at 7.32am

1'st - induced after being 2 weeks late so doesn't count.

2nd - came out of nowhere - or so I thought - i now realise I'd felt like shite forabout 3 days and I'd had a sweep that day. she was born after about 1 and a half hours after first twinge,

3rd - waters broke - no labour - induced 3 days later

mine was -

kept going loo and wiping to find stringy bits on paper hahaa this was about 4 days b4 he was born,
other then that no signs,

went bed at 12am, woke at 3.30am with pains every 5/6 mins, went loo lost my plug (which was huge) had bloody show, - went hozzy to get checked out at about 5am and was i think 4/5cm, was told pool wasnt open till 8am so could stay or go home and come bk, soooooooooooo went home then went bk to hozzy at 10.30am to wich i was 6/7cm (progressing well)

was examined at 11am and though he was breech, so sent to prep room for c.section,
11.15am re examined again by another doc who said i wasnt breech an could progress my self lol

took me from 11.15am when i was 7cm till 7.30pm to get to 9 1/2 cm, as labor slowed right down.
in this time i had a epidural at around 6pm, at 7.45pm was examined again n was told by doc that it was emergancy and section required as baby was in destress his heart beat kept stopping over past hour, the reason for this was that he was brow position, i think one in 10 babys born in brow position are actually labor normal the rest are sections

he was eventually born 7.50pm by section,

brow position means for those who dont know, (coz i didnt) when i baby is born the best place for its head to be its tucked up with its chin on its chest, so the first bit to push against your cervix to would be the smallest part of the ed, were the crown would be, this means when you get to 10cm you have a thin rim that comes away with the pressure of head once this has gone you can pushhhhhhhhhh and your away

however when i baby is brow, its sort of looking up, so when its ed gets to your cervix you have to try an push the for ed out an all around ect so its a lot bigger
this is to big to put the correct amount of pressure on the rim so that dont end up comin away an like my son did if it dont get picked up your baby comes out wiith a funny shaped head an could of been even worse

thankfully alls good and fingers crossed it wont happen this time pmsl

i really wanna go naturally this time so i might refuse to be induced if u can?

Yea Abbie you can refuse induction!

My first, we were dtd, I was 8 days over and I stopped him cos it hurt! Contractions gradually built up and 23 hours later she was born!

2nd, was having BH walking around the shops, like I always got, got my first painful contraction walking to the car, but ignored it as I was sure it wasn't it! Gt home, gave K her lunch, told my mum I thought I was in labour and was going for a bath! They still weren't regular or painful really! Got in the bath and knew I needed to get out! Knocked something over and mum shouted was I ok, said I thought baby was coming! My dad called an ambulance and 3 mins later she was here

Mine was slow . Started on Saturday but was bearable so I scrubbed the house and went shopping , wasn't in full labour until Wednesday . Had a sort of sleep deprived horrid few days in between contracting but not contracting enough to move things along .

I got slight twinges starting on the Saturday night, they woke me up at about 1am. The gradually (and I mean very gradually!) built up so they were lasting longer, feeling stronger, and the time between was getting less until I was practically climbing the walls! I went to hospital at 6pm on the Sunday, was put straight into the labour ward where I stayed until I gave birth at 6am Monday morning. It was all very slow and gradual but by the time I got to about 10pm, my god they hurt!!

I was 41+3 and there was no pre warning! I was watching tv and had some tightenings, that happened again, then realised they were every 20 mins. Went to bed not saying anything to hubby and trying not to get excited, then 3.30am had to get up cos they were every 10 mins and starting to get painful.

It then took 3 says for her to come, but hey ho, she was worth it!

My waters went but contractions didnt come- really is diff for everyone hun! you'll know when its happening xx

8 days before my due date, having not ever felt braxtons before, I felt braxtons off and on, during the day. In the evening I 'had a bad tummy', and then I lost the plug, and I had only the possible suggestion of lower back cramp to accompany the not too strong but 5-to-10 min braxtons - read in my book about all of this, called the hospital who were shit, and 8 hours later, there she was. Despite them saying I wasn't in labour. They got me in to be checked and that's when they said it was labour. It quickly became painful because I was anxious, tense, and a bit in shock too.

I lost plug at about 1pm at 1am the next morn getting twinges. Went to the hosp at 4am went through to triage at 5am examined at 7cm and waters broke 2 mins after at 6am and baby born at 6.33am

Hi!

My experience was different and scary a bit! lol. I had preterm labor at 33 weeks butthank God it was halted. But the sad part was I was 7cm when I went home and had complete bed rest. Thanks to it plus the tocolytics, it went down to 5 cm. At exactly 37 weeks, after having lunch at the mall, when I came out of the c.r I felt like something was dripping but ignored it. 3 hours later at another mall, the dripping went so bad that we had to buy a napkin then after went to the hospital staright. An hour after, I gave birth! woah! :)
