mine was -
kept going loo and wiping to find stringy bits on paper hahaa this was about 4 days b4 he was born,
other then that no signs,
went bed at 12am, woke at 3.30am with pains every 5/6 mins, went loo lost my plug (which was huge) had bloody show, - went hozzy to get checked out at about 5am and was i think 4/5cm, was told pool wasnt open till 8am so could stay or go home and come bk, soooooooooooo went home then went bk to hozzy at 10.30am to wich i was 6/7cm (progressing well)
was examined at 11am and though he was breech, so sent to prep room for c.section,
11.15am re examined again by another doc who said i wasnt breech an could progress my self lol
took me from 11.15am when i was 7cm till 7.30pm to get to 9 1/2 cm, as labor slowed right down.
in this time i had a epidural at around 6pm, at 7.45pm was examined again n was told by doc that it was emergancy and section required as baby was in destress his heart beat kept stopping over past hour, the reason for this was that he was brow position, i think one in 10 babys born in brow position are actually labor normal the rest are sections
he was eventually born 7.50pm by section,
brow position means for those who dont know, (coz i didnt) when i baby is born the best place for its head to be its tucked up with its chin on its chest, so the first bit to push against your cervix to would be the smallest part of the ed, were the crown would be, this means when you get to 10cm you have a thin rim that comes away with the pressure of head once this has gone you can pushhhhhhhhhh and your away
however when i baby is brow, its sort of looking up, so when its ed gets to your cervix you have to try an push the for ed out an all around ect so its a lot bigger
this is to big to put the correct amount of pressure on the rim so that dont end up comin away an like my son did if it dont get picked up your baby comes out wiith a funny shaped head an could of been even worse
thankfully alls good and fingers crossed it wont happen this time pmsl
