We only have enough parents / hands for 2 kids?...

How do you cope with 3?

(Surprise BFP at 6pm this evening. Eeeek)

Oh wow! Congratulations! I really have no idea, we're mission complete at 2. You'll be fine though :)

Congrats hun! I have 3 little girls. My 3rd is now 4 months old. My eldest is 4 and 2nd is 2 and a half.
I found the transition from 1 to 2 kids so hard, I barely coped the first few months. The transition from 2-3 kids was a billion times easier. I think i was used to chaos and dealing with multiple needs etc so it wasn't such a shock to the system. My eldest is in preschool so I already had a routine in place and my youngest just had to fall into it. As a result she's very chilled. My only advice is organisation, find a system that works for you all and stick to it as much as possible e.g my husband gets the older 2 kids up and gets them dressed, gives them breakfast and brushes their teeth. I do everything else in the day but having that help in the morning works so well for me.

Anyway, you'll be fine and will love it. I loved it so much Im contemplating a 4th :-|

Thanks babybee, that is reassuring.

We will have a 5 year old and a 3 year old if this works out. Youngest will be due to start nursery full time from September 2018. So I should even be able to go back to work after number 3.

Space wise we need to move but we'll manage until we can facilitate a house move.

I'm feeling quite overwhelmed today.

Congratulations! I remember you from trying to conceive my first :) so I now have a little girl who is 2yrs months and a little boy who is 14 months and I'm due baby 3 end of August so I'll keep you updated on how that works out. We are planning to have 4 but number 3 wasn't planned until a little further down the line but he had other ideas! X

Congratulations Carnat! Like Rose, I'm pregnant with number 3 and have heard the same advice, that routine is everything. Hope it's a happy and healthy 9 months for you, good luck!

Nat!!

Haha no squidge was number 2! I have a grown up daughter remember?! She's currently causing me much anxiety by backpacking around Asia on her own!!

Squidge will be three in July - its flown in.

xxxx

Of course I remember A. God where is my brain at?

At least I didn't miss another bambino but silly me. I guess I can blame baby brain?

I am super impressed she has the guile and confidence to go backpacking on her own. You should be very proud you've raised her to be brave and want to have experiences... of course you'll worry though. And be glad when she is home.

Squidge is soon to be 3..... that is just madness. Although James is 5 in November, I can't believe I have a 5yo.

Bee is 2 and 4 months and she is a handful. So unlike James she is wild and willful (she also still breastfeeds!!) So number 3 is going to be interesting.

I'm actually a little emosh to see you pop up Mishi... we all went through so much hey?

I have no experience but im sure ive heard multiple times that going from 1 to 2 is really hard but transition from 2 to 3 much easier. Maybe just because most people have had to establish solid routines with 2 so its easier to see where a third slots in?

Congrats! Xx

Oh Bee sounds just like Hugo - he's a total handful. SO strong willed and still co-sleeping! Point blank refuses to stop so it's the only way any of us get any sleep. Not sure how that's going to work come October!!

That we did my lovely but all worth it now they're here.xxxx

Wow! Big congratulations Carnat!
So lovely to see you back with baby no3 and that Jame and Bee are doing so well.

I am hoping for a third but oh has his foot down at the moment over it!lol

Lovely to 'see' you mrswoody. Hope you are all well?

I'm sure he won't have his foot down forever!!! Maybe you can persuade him under the guise of evening the numbers up a little? :)

I'm just over 8w and feel so ill (sob sob) although you don't get much chance to wallow with 2 little ones... and work.

And you lovely!

All is well with the girls and me. Busy all of the time with work and family life but I wouldn't have it any other way.

How are you feeling about baby number 3? I'm so ready for another but biding my time, the girls ask oh on a regular basis for a baby! Lol

How are you feeling about James heading to big school this year? I can't believe the time has finally come!

Glad all is well, it's lovely to see so many familiar posters, makes me feel very comforted actually!!

Oddly I'm finding the prospect of number 3 very daunting, not least as it was a very accidental pregnancy (not even a danger poke - there is a phrase I haven't used for a while lol)

I'm good with James going to big school, although he has been in preschool (attached to school he will be attending) since Jan 2016. He got a full time place really early and has thrived.

My sister and brothers kids go to same school so it's very familiar and hopefully won't be a massive adjustment for us all? That said I still can't believe he'll be starting reception?? Didn't I just give birth to him? :)

How are you feeling about it? Is M excited?

Congratulations!

As long as you have good rountines for your children then you will be fine. let's not forget that the oldest can be mamas little helper. He will enjoy that for sure!! As I said, rountine is key to raising multiple children. A few people I know got lazy after their third and didn't keep up with proper child rearing. This causes a massive headache and extreme difficultly when dealing with multiple children. So best advice, stay on your game and you will be just fine!!

Ahh it's so nice to see familiar names! I think I may be cooking number 3. Haven't taken a test yet as due on next week. We'll see!
