I was just standing in the queue for the sandwiches for lunch and a woman in my work turned as said ‘oh my gosh are you pregnant’ and I was like yeah…I’m almost 4 and a half months. And then she said yeah, your face has got fatter and everything!

That's terrible... I can't believe people say that...

I took Tia to her friends birthday party the other night and I haven't seen most of the mums since June when the school ended. At the time I was only around 7/8 weeks pregnant and didn't want to risk telling anyone so didn't.

So I said I was tired cos I was pregnant, told them I was 5 months gone...and one of the mother said "5 months, are you sure... Are you sure you haven't just put on weight, because you don't look pregnant!"

I thought I had quite a cute little bump, now it turns out I just look FAT to people....

Squiglet it sounds like she might actually have been trying to be nice in a dumb way, i always say things i dont mean, maybe she meant you had only put on a little weight and that you dont look pregnant honey?

The first thing someone said to me back from a week's hols on monday was "Wow, you're really starting to get chubby!"

For colleagues' future reference, I've started to compile a list of acceptable adjectives:

"magnificent"
"gorgeous"
"blooming"
"impressive"

I had that from my assistant at work who is not a nice person anyhow to say the least!
Anyhow i announced it after my 12 week scan and she said, oh i thought you had just got fat! Thats awefull poor you, i feel sorry for you.
I was thinking, i know i havent got fat as i weigh the same as b4 52kgs. Silly cows they are just jealous of us blooming.
