I am due to be induced next Monday at 39 wks and am so worried about going through labour this time around (i have a 6 yr old too). I am 40 and feel completely to tired to go through it. I feel so tired all the time but come nighttime I can't sleep which I know makes it worse. I have PGP so can't move properly and I ache everywhere after doing little but rest during the day. Can't walk for more than 20 mins without being desperate to sleep.

Don't know how I'm going to get through this, I just want to bury my head and cry. Is this normal? I don't know what to do. My husband does loads but doesn't understand and just keeps saying only 1 week to go but I am scared of what's going to happen come next wk.

Anyone else feel like this?

Our bodies are very good at things like this and you will have a lot of medical professionals around you to help and support you. I hope the birth goes well for you x it's natural to be apprehensive though especially when feeling run down like you do.
My pgp has been getting worse the past few weeks too but it's not that bad. I'm focusing on the good things that will happen after birth. Meeting my little one, bring able to walk up a flight of stairs, getting comfy in bed lol. Whilst trying to savour the last moments of bring pregnant as this will be my last. X x X

Hey, I think most women who have laboured will remember not being able to sleep the day before...

Our bodies find it easier when we are tired :-)

Be worried about the recovery (I am) but don't worry about birth, you'll be amazing

The body bounces back so well, and adrenaline kicks in so you'll not feel as tired as you do now. Those last few weeks of pregnancy are so, so hard, especially when you've other little ones to run around after. I genuinely believe that the first few weeks post birth are a million times easier than the few weeks pre-birth!

Thanks ladies, I guess I'm just panicking a bit with a week to go. I should be happy and cherish it as it will definitely be my last pregnancy too

X

Adrenalin will get you through. Try and take some time out to just relax and focus on something else, a book, films anything. You'll be ok xx
