How old were your babies when they started smiling?

Also is it obvious it's a proper smile and not a windy fake one when they do?

I'm certain Blake is starting to recognise my face and he has these little moments where he'll look like he's getting all excited. Shaun's convinced he smiled at him but im sure it's too early (he's 3 1/2 weeks old).

Charley did his first proper smile at 6 weeks although Lacey was very early and was doing proper smiles at 2 weeks

Poppy smiled at about 4/5 weeks - propper grinned at daddy acting daft on the other side of the window.

Nell - I know it sounds stupid but she smiled at 1/2 weeks I'm sure. She was always smiling and I said to the hv - does that mean she's got losds of wind and she said no she's smiling at you

both were 2w weeks late

oscar on the other hand didn't smile til about 7/8 weeks old lol. grumpy sod lol xx

Aoibheann was about six weeks when she obviously smiled . I saw little faint expressions from three weeks though

Seb started doing proper non windy smiles at 4 weeks and hasn't stopped since then! Lol x

Yey! My little Blake has definitely been doing little smiles the last couple of days. He has a mobile thing above his changing mat which he stares at for ages but he's been smiling at it the last couple of days. Makes me fill up! X

thats what kick noas smiles of aswell the mobile over changin table, he is chattin away to it every momrning now x

This is soooo hard. I know it must be wind with Aiden as he is too young. But when its in context its hard to think its not a smile. When I talk to him and he looks into my eyes and today I stroked cotton wool over his face and he did it! But not proper smiles is it??? x
