I'm not into diets at all but after having my daughter, I'm creeping back up to the heaviest I've been so need to do something!!

Does anyone have any experience of slimming world? Looking at this as I've heard it's ok to do while pregnant and we'll be ttc again very soon. I don't want to be cooking seperate meals for everyone though so is the food you eat suitable for family meals?

Hiya I've been doing it for 3 months and lost 1 stone and 10lbs. It works really well and the whole family have the same - my mums lost 1 1/2 stone following it and my dad 1stone 3lbs just by eating the same foods! It's very easy to follow, you can do it online but I found going to a group helps x
 
Wow, well done to you all, that's great! So how does it work? I know they say you don't have to measure foods etc. so what do you do?
 
Basically avoiding fats. You have free foods which you can eat unlimited amounts of such as pasta, salad fruit meats (fat cut off) and eggs. Some fruit and veg are super free which helps you loose weight quicker such as melon. You then get an A choice which is 100mls of milk a day or 30g cheese etc and a B choice which is say 2 slices of whole meal bread or 1 tablespoon of oil. Then you have syns which they recommend between 5 and 15 a day.
I'm never hungry but I make sure I plan well - I always have muller light yoghurts in the fridge as they're free and lots of fruit - I chop a load up every day in a big bowl that I keep in the fridge so I can pick!
Drinks need to be sugar free - you can have unlimited diet coke. Things like a glass of wine are 6 syns and some Chinese takeaway items are only 6.5 syns so there's no need to go without.

My friend has lost over 5 stone in 8 months on Slimming World which is incredible!
