Anyone else's baby not sleeping through yet? Sophie's 6 months this week and is in bed for around half 7 and then wakes about 2 and again at 5. Id love a full nights sleep :(

Have you tried keeping her up a little later? Albert would happily go to bed after his 7pm feed but he's to young to sleep so long so I keep him up for a 9pm feed. He's totally wasted by then and sleeps through xxxxxx

Grace has only just started going through 7pm-6am in the last week or so x

I do the same as Baby Brain. E has just started sleeping through last week. She goes to bed between 8.30 and 9, sleeps til between 6 and 7, has 6oz then goes back down til I wake her at 9.30am. It's still a bit hit and miss but on the whole as long she's taken all her feeds in the daytime then she stays asleep.

My lo only started sleeping through at about 7 months. Even now it's hit and miss.

Lol helly, ever get the feeling they sleep through just so they can ignore us for longer :D

Yes! I'm lucky my kid is like me and daddy - we love our bed!!!

I dont find that keeping him up helps, if he is over tired then he will wake up every half hour!! I hate the term sleeping through coz harrison doesnt have a feed at night so some wud say he sleeps thru but some nights we resettle him every hour (thats a bad night tho) a normal night is dummy in twice which I still think is good but its not like we get a clear run!!
Babies are designed as a defence mechanism to sleep lightly and wake regularly, babies dont wake coz they are hungry and by waking up regularly they can tell if they are hungry!! If your baby wakes a lot in the night it is ment to mean that they are very clever!! Thats what I cling to when I dont get any sleep at night!! Lol!!

Oh dear. Judging by last night then Evie must be a little bit 'special'! Ha ha!!! lol. I like to think it was baby sensory that tired her out yesterday!

Lol looks like Albert will take after his dad in the brains department as well as his looks then!

I have to say we don't deliberately keep E up, it just suits us to have her go to bed later and get up later so rather than a 7 til 7 routine we do 9 til 9 if that makes sense? She still has all her daytime naps etc. And she still stirs in the night but no point me going in to do the dummy thing as she's a thumbsucker. As soon as she finds her hand she calms down again.

We're not sleeping through and keeping him up won't help

Tilly does this! I rarely feed her at night now and she's not missing it because she's gaining weight properly.

She has me up usually at least twice a night. I didn't realise it means they are clever? Lol. Every cloud eh?

Can you imagine how many pf einsteins we have!! Lol!! Apparently their brain develops in light sleep and it is the light sleep that makes them wake up often!! I always know the days that he does something new we will have a bad night as it is like his little brain needs to work it all out!!
By the way sensory knackers H out too, not sure why as all they do is look around really but gives me a nice chilled out afternoon!!
We have tried offering food to H but he will just take 10mls and not be interested so we dont bother now!! He gets fed at 7.30pm and again at 5.30am unless he has a really bad night and we feed him (even if it is just a tiny bit) out of desperation!! He is getting a fatty putting on 10oz a week at the moment so he must be getting enough!!

She's always gone to bed at that time and you can tell once it goes past 7 then she is grouchy and irritable. I guess she's just getting hungry in the night as she drains the bottle so she obviously needs it rather than just taking an ounce comfort feeding.

Tbh if I put ruby to bed after 7 all hell would break loose she gets that grumpy and she would still wake up xx

I nearly posted this the other day. Jax was 8 months on Sunday and he's only managed to sleep right through the night with no waking...twice!! Every night is totally different, I have no idea when or how many times he will wake during the night. Last night wasn't great - he woke 3 times but the 2 or 3 nights before that he only woke once so that was pretty good. He still takes milk all through the night too!

He goes down at about 6.30-7pm and gets up around 6-6.30am

Sometimes Jax will have 3 x 5oz bottles during the night!
