sleeping on your left

im gonna invest in a full length pillow i think but just knowing others struggle also has made me less anxious. I was thinking i was a bad mum already

Aww hun you are not a bad mum! We cant help what our body makes us do! Surely if we tried to force ourselves to sleep on our left & not get any sleep at all would be just as bad!

At work if a pregnant lady is in a trauma we tilt her 30degrees on her left as the uterus can become gravid. This is because the uterus can then lie on the inferior vena cava. I know this is relevant if the patient has lost a lot of blood. Never heard this advise in normal life though- must be a new thing. Cant think what they are advising against. Cant f ind this in nhs pregnancy book. Therefore I wouldn't worry x

the midwife told me alfie something about decreasing the chance of still birth

I read through my very old pregnancy book that I had with stephen and nothing in there about sleeping on the left at all.

i think its a very new thing just sort of researched into they prob dont have much to back it up with thanks for looking
