This may help! I read a really interesting article that suggested your body 'knows' to wake you up if you're not lying in best position for the baby, which is on your left side. Something to do with the artery that supplies the placenta or something, being squashed.
I used to sleep on my tummy or back and was waking up heaps in the night. Since I've been sleeping on my left, I sleep right through.
Might be just coincidence, so I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has tried it.
