I could have written your post! George has only been at the nursery 3 weeks now and has been ill almost all of that time. I think only for about 3 days has he been ok and slept through the night.
Before he was at nursery he was sleeping 8pm - 7am and now he wakes up screaming and just won't settle again. It was difficult when I was at home but now I'm working it's really really tiring.
He doesn't sleep much at all at the nursery either. Only about half hour whereas at home he used to sleep 2-3 hours during the day. He always comes home completely tired out and unable to eat tea/drink his bedtime milk.
George is suffering a lot and personally I think it's not worth it. He's only at nursery one day a week yet picking up all the bugs. The other days he's home with his dad or at my mums.
So I'm going to ask to cut down my days then he won't need to go to nursery. In a couple of years things might change but for the time being I have decided it's too much to put him (and us) through.
I think you have to really decide what's best for you, your baby and your family. We'll have to manage on a bit less pay but for us I think it's worth it.
