Hi ladies,

I have very light periods I can spot for up to 3 weeks straight but my period is never more than 2-3 days although normally only 2 and that’s even when I have no spotting before.

I feel like it gets shorter and lighter every month when I first came off bc I’m sure they were about 4 days.

I’m just wondering if this suggests there is something wrong with my lining which might be why I have suffered two cps at about 4 weeks? Can PCOS cause this do you know?

Sorry for TMI.

I'd assume if you're spotting for so long, your lining isn't built up very much by the time AF comes around which is why it's very short. If I'm right then yes that could explain the CPs, but they could also just be down to bad luck. Anything from 2-8 days of bleeding is considered normal though so you might be ok there. Spotting for 3 weeks straight definitely isn't normal though. Have you spoken to a doctor about that? You might have a hormone imbalance in addition to the PCOS. I hope you get an answer soon x

Yes, PCOS can cause all of that... I've bled for 6 weeks straight before and have had loads of spotting xx

Thanks, I’ll mention it to the doctor at our next appointment, just waiting for dh sa before I get my referral to the fertility clinic.

Anything I can do to prevent spotting in the meantime?
