Shall I book it?

Hi ladies!

Hope u are all well! I was wondering what do u think to an early scan or shall I just wait until my other first scan to come back!? MW said it could be between 10-14 weeks!!

I've had a look at babybond and there are 2 close to me! It's so tempting or am I just being impatient? Xx

Hi Hun I went to babybond and they were great even got photos of my little blob lol and seeing the heart beat is amazing it does reassure you x x

I would! I had 2 early scans on nhs but if they hadn't of given me any i would've booked a private one.

I say go for it. Ive had an early NHS scan which was hugely reassuring but would have got one privately if not xxx

Im the same as larlybelle...I got two NHS early scans but if I hadnt I most def would have booked one elsewhere!!! xx

I had 3 early scans with the nhs but had a babybond nuchal scan at 11 weeks they r really good

If you are worried hun just go for it, why not eh? like the others i'm having 2 early scans on NHS but if i wasnt getting them i would prob have gone private.

Go for it! I had an early scan at 8 weeks and it was amazing. Money well spent!

My OH is being mean and saying I'm worrying unnecessarily and that we don't need an early scan. The problem is my parents live abroad and are going back to France on 1st Sept. I will only be 8 weeks then but really want to see their faces when I tell them about their first grandchild! Trouble is I don't want to tell them when I don't really have any reassurance that everything is ok. At what time can you do the early scan and get a heartbeat? I would have to have it done when I am about 7 weeks and a few days. Is this too soon?

Ive booked my early private scan for Monday when I will be 7 weeks. For reassurance! x

i think usually at 7 weeks or before they would do an internal to find a heartbeat, thats what i had last friday, i think past 8 weeks they might be able to see on a normal abdominal one, will let you know as i have one on monday.

I had an internal at 8 weeks and abdominal at 10 weeks so I would probably say it would be an internal. They r not painful and I didnt get any cramps or bleeding afterwards. If u want to know for definate phone the place and ask them. xx

Hi I was 7+2 and I had a normal scan and you could see the little flicker of a heartbeat xxx

My first scan was at 6wks3days & there was a feint heartbeat. They told me 7-8 weeks was best time to do early scan as more likely to see a clear heart beat so Im going back next week for follow up. 7 weeks will be fine for a scan! Enjoy xxx

I've researched in case I do book and for an early scan it was coming up between £50 and £75. I've had a good day today though and have decided that what will be will be and I'm doing all the reasons why I wouldn't have a miscarriage and all the 'think positive' stuff. Have just decided to keep myself busy and stop fearing the worst. Millions of babies are born everyday and fingers crossed in 7 and a half months mine will be one of them!!
