Sensor mats-yay or nay?

OMG so he takes orders off ebay, then goes out and steals to order?!?! Thats awful. Id be tempted to report him, otherwise youre just incriminating yourself too. This is the last thing you need at this stage

it was really funny when i opened the jiffy bag cos i was soo excited, and then opened it and was like  i was petrefied the neighbours would think id stolen it or something and were spying on me opening it, the postman had allready commended how many parcels i had been having delivered in the last 3 weeks, im like its run up to xmas and im having a baby, derr!! lol

it should ov been on youve been framed cos my face was a picture, but he emailed me afterwards saying oat else u want, im ur man ;-) i was like AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!! lol

xxx

Not sure exactly how true this is, But a friend of my mums told her that she bought a sensor mat for her babys cot.. and the baby worked it out.. And would hold his breath instead of crying to make mummy come running, then just grin at her when she came in a panic

that means baby held breath and didnt moce for 20 secs... lol id have to see it to believe it hehe altho im biased cos i have one and know how sensitive they r :D xx

hmm I got the angelcare and Im not that happy with it TBH. THeres no thermometer from what I can see, and no nightlight so LO is unsettled, I ended up getting the tommee tippee unit in the room so the nightlight was on for LO and I could check the temp in the room as it was sooo cold last night.

Also my angelcare buzzes :wall:

And theres no flashing light for each breath, I loved checking that and 'watching' him breathe. You can set a tick but it ticks in his room...surely that would keep him awake?

Tiny that doesn't sound like mine at all? Does the unit that goes in his room look like a cloud? Mine is this one

The halo is the night light and there is a light on that unit that flashes with the breathing, but on the mobile handset you can set the icon to tick like a pendulum and tick out loud if you want it. And the temperature comes up on the handset too. Sounds odd!

ah no its nothing like that one :wall: yeah the baby unit looks like a cloud. :/ Im tempted to just buythat one on the credit card and tryto flog the one i got. Im just so sick of buzzing!!

that looks like a good price too!

I have this exact one...... And last night the alarm went off and she wasn't breathing when I went in but I laid my hand on her chest and gave her a little shake as they showed me how to do in the scbu and she started straight away and was fine after that. They are worth their weigh in gold because while I am sure she was just holding her breath and would have restarted of her own accord, I don't know that for a fact.

One word of warning though, if it does go off walk to baby's room rather than run in a mad panic- look what happened to my toe after I bashed it on the door in my haste!!

grim or what?!? :(

OUCH!!!!! glad your LO is ok though, they are invaluable devices!!
Tiny I'd pop it back on ebay and get your pennies back! The newer version is much better.

ouch Annie!!!! glad your LO is ok!

Im gonna get the newer version me thinks. Wish Id looked into it a bit closer before bidding

Owwww! Glad Ella was ok though! I'd still run and risk the toe injury!

Tiny-I have bought the new one and I'm loving it! The halo is a nightlight and there's a temperature readout of baby's room on the parent unit also the tick doesn't (as far as I've heard so far) also sound in baby's room x

Oh even though Im in debt on my credit card Im soooooo sick of buzzing Im gonna justbuy the new one today  such a bloomin waste of £30 on ebay

Sell it on and get your £30 back! See if you've got anything else to pop on while you're there, I think it's free listing for anything 0.99 starting price or at least it is on mine for my next 100 items. Raise some money to clear your card and pay for the new one!!

good idea. I need to try and sell my breast pumps too. x

ppl sell loads on facebook too on emma's diary and baby swap or shop xxx

can you link me hun? Im so cynical of ebay now!

IDK what gumtree is  how do you search for stuff on facebook?

I'm thinking of getting the angelcare monitior for when Ethan goes into his own room next year. At the moment i have a Lindam clarity video monitor which is good as i can see him but it buzzes like hell!!! Do you all keep you monitors on all night? Does the battery last? xx
