is it normal to have a really sensitive sence of smell? i've had this from pretty much since i got my bfp its not helping the sickness much as things that smell strong make my sickness worse its not just horrible smelling things either but things like washing my hair and putting on deodrant make me sick does this die down a bit?

Oh yes! Not everything makes me feel sick now though like before, just meat (I'm a veggie) smoking, petrol and my dog if she's wet! I've had to swap shower gels etc as some made me feel sick and I hardly wear purfume just now!

i'm the same hun...any strong smells make me feel sick. well i call them strong smells....no1 else does. lol.

don't know if it subsides tho....but sensitive smell is normal :)

thanks sarah thought i was going mad!! i can't wear perfume anymore i never really had this when i was pg with my son i had a stronger sence of smell but it didn't really make me sick! the worst thing is i work in a nursery and in the 2-3 year old room so lots of them are in nappies the smell is not helping lol

i hope it does subside smokey i have 2 rabbits got them around the time i got my bfp and altho they don't smell dirty just the smell of the sawdust and general rabbit smell is driving me nuts i have moved them so the hutch is not near the back door which has helped but i might have to give them away if this carries on!

God yes. I've had to avoid the dog for weeks and food smells... Well. Can't even open the fridge some days. ;) Lady working on same corridor as me at work has such strong perfume I have to avoid her office!

Yep yep! I violently took against the smell of my whole kitchen- washing up liquid, the washing machine, the oven, the fridge... it went away at about 17-18 weeks for me, I'd say. You'll be fine, it'll go soon enough xxx

Yep changed completly, I bought Comfort with Frebrze (?) (I'm not getting up to check spelling) I used to love it but it actually made me heave the other day when I smelt it on a fresh dry towel x
