Do kiddies start school in year 1 at age 5, then go to year 2 at age 6 etc etc?
Its just the school in the village we will be moving to is a junior school & it says they teach children from year 3 to year 6???

Ta

There's probably a nursery attached from age 3
Reception from the september following their 4th birthday
Year 1 from the September following their 5th birthday
Year 6 is final year in Juniors
Year 7 is start of high school

Couldn't have put it any clearer than Tracy....my youngest step-child is just finishing up year 11  (and off to the Army this summer) - where does time go?

some schools dont have the capacity to have all age ranges, there is one in my hometown that caters for ages 3 - 11yrs but has 2 seperate buildings. 1 for 3-5yrs and 1 for 5-11yrs. they are all on the same street but spread out in different buildings. hth xxxx

Year 3 is first year juniors, what mine are in now,age 7-8 :)

my lilltel boy Josh is 5 & in Reception, in September he will go up to Year 1.
Georgia is 10 & is in the last year at Primary School that is Year 6.
