What did you want to be when you grew up???

I always wanted to be an air hostess and/or a pilot. I flew for 9 years :D and left to be a full time Mummy and now I want to be a writer, if only I had the time to write!!

I always fancied being a speech therapist but was rubbish at science and dropped biology as soon as I could....also fancied translation but wasn't fluent enough in French really.
...started training to be a primary teacher, specialising in French, at 18 and am still one. I have a love/hate relationship with my job but I couldn't imagine doing anything else! :D

I wanted to be a nurse and when I was a little older I wanted to be an actor, even did 3 years doing performing arts at college.

Im now a housing officer, but dont really want to be... (I kinda want to train as a midwife, but Im not in the position to do that :( )

When I was 4 I wanted to be a teacher. It didn't really change, and I am a teacher. Boring eh?

Sue

Oh - and at one stage I wanted to be a Maharani - but you can be a Maharani and a teacher can't you?

:rotfl:

I wanted to be, A nurse, a primary school teacher, a singer, an event rider, a doctor, a vet, an animal rescue person, a paramedic, a painter and decorator and if I remember rightly for months I wanted to work in the factory where they made Snugglebums (hideous 80's toy that was made of rubbery plastic and had hair)

I always wanted to be a Mummy and a housewife since I was about 5. Im making good progress on the Mummy & housewife front...counting down the days!!!!! :cheer:

I also would've quite liked to have been an actress and singer. I have plenty of drama in my life and I walk around singing all day so I kinda got what I wished for :D

As a kid I wanted to be an actress, but then I did drama at school and hated it.
I spent a good few years wanting to do a law degree, but then I discovered I was good at languages so I took languages and business studies instead. I ended up working in the aerospace industry, which was great because I've always been fascinated by planes!

Right now I'm a SAHM and happy to be doing that.

nurse (when i was really young)
artist
teacher
authour
book illustrator
graphic designer

ive got qualifications in art/graphics. But as of yet no dream job, still working on it tho (when the kiddies are older)

other jobs ive had are: bar attendant, cloak room attendant, sales assistant, shelf stacker, till opperator, housekeeper supervisor, cleaner.

a car mechanic, a car washer!! very high standards i had!!

I wanted to be a vet, until it came to my predicted grades doing the 4 A-levels I needed when I had to face the reality I wasn't smart enough. So I dropped Biology, just going the physics, chemistry and maths (got 3 B's) and did a Systems Engineering degree, then became a software engineer. I really enjoy what I do but I still feel a twinge that I would have liked to be a vet (specialising in Horses).

I always wanted to be a writer or a fashion designer. The fashion design I have no hope but I still have future plans to be a writer. I have loads of poetry and stories I have written over the years. I sent off a book I was working on when I was about 23 but it was rejected so I gave up on the idea for a while. But I recently did an online test about the best job for you and it came back as a novelist!!
