I think I have been in a bit of denial. Convinced I will go late, planning things even after my due date, trying not to think about the labour, just about the baby and I suddenly realised today that I am actually going to have to go through labour. I will have to push this baby out of me and go through all the pain and I will have a story just like everyone else does.

I'm so terrified. I am confident in myself, because lots of women do it, but I know from the physical pain of 2 miscarriages that labour is going to be horrifically painful. I get cramps now and I wildly swing from thinking, oh, how exciting, to oh dear god, please not yet.

ahhh!!!

You will be fine hun, I'm very much the same

N then every now n then I'll get a shudder n think shitttttttt, I got get this baby out soon!!

Way I'm looking at it is it's just another day n yer it's going to hurt but after the day passes u forget! X

im the same hun but we will be fine. its what we are built for. xx

Today I am feeling really excited. When I wake in the night I always hope it isn't starting as I feel so tired bit then when I'm up and dressed I am like, oh come on contractions! START!! X

I'm absolutely terrified and often think about how horrible it's going to be! And I'm not even full term yet

People keep telling me that once you're in labour you don't even think about being scared you just get on with it! xx

I am the biggest wimp ever and i done it! It will be over soon and then you will get your baby and you can enjoy. xxx

I am the biggest wimp and at the same can take pain but babe dont look things into negative side.. eventually you'll be brave enough to go through and who knows you might experience a good labour have a faith in you..at the end, when they give your baby to hold in your arm you will forget everything.. never had kids before but browsing and reading through birth story makes me wonder when its my turn i wanna get over it and hold that little bugger that torching me loool

This sounds like me! All the way through even after having the first sweep Tuesday it hadn't sunk in, just plodding along hoping it will happen but not actually being able to imagine it!

Wasn't until after she gave me another sweep this morning and mentioned the word induction an booked it for a week tomorrow... It slapped me in the face that it really IS gonna happen soon! We will be fine though, I always think people do it more than once so it can't be that bad! Xxx
