scared to tell my boss!!!!

I'm so worried about telling my boss. I think he's about to tell me I'm being offered a new role. I love my job and feel like my career is really taking off and now I feel I'm letting him down by taking maternity leave (albeit in 6/7 months time).
Should I accept the new role even though I know i won't do it for long?

If you plan on going back to work after maternity leave is up, then hell yeah accept it. It's going to be there waiting for you when you're back (that's the law).

You don't have to officially tell your employer until you 25 weeks pregnant, so if you feel you don't want to tell them just yet and ensure you get your new job role, then tell them after, then do that.
Not that they couldn't offer you the job because you were pregnant etc. as that would be against the law but if it puts you at ease, just hold off a little while longer.

Yes I am definitely going back after maternity leave. You're right, they can't use the pregnancy to stop me getting a new job.
It's just so scary thinking about telling him.
Think I'll wait a bit xx
