Scan Flop.

Thanks, my mum got in a panic because she rang and I answered the phone crying lol but then she told me when her and my dad started trying for a baby the fisrt time she got a possitive test and started to get a bump but when she went for her scan there was nothing there they told her the baby must of died and the body just absorbed it. Its so weird when its your parent telling you they had a miscarrage

I had the same thing happen with my first scan last Tuesday. They could see most things (well I thought they could anyway) but said it was slightly early for the 16 week scan they like to do and asked me to come back next thursday as 'views were slightly limited'.

I was disappointed at first too cos I couldn't understand why I needed to go back but now I see it as a chance to see baby again so I feel better.

Did they not ask you to go for a brisk walk?

Same happened to me at my 20 week scan last Tuesday & they sent me for a walk around the hospital but she still didnt move so we had to go again this Weds, heres my post

Its not an unusual thing to happen hun, it simply means that bubs is happy in the position he/she is in but it isnt ideal for all the checks that they do! Little monkey eh!

Yay! It's actually good news! You saw babe's once and know all looks basically ok and you get to have ANOTHER little peep and double checks later on Babies are stubborn like us and don't always get in the right positition to check measurements etc.

Like fothers I hope you get good piccies next time (and then you can show us )
