Saw Midwife

saw midwife yesterday- she was lovely.

Got the bounty information pack and an NHS pregnancy book which is really useful.

What suprised me is that still no-one had tested me- hey are still taking my word for it that I am pregnant... thought that was a bit strange.

Anyway, I have a blood test next week

BUT, feeling much better... and excited! x

My GP/MW just accepted I was pregnant... i even brought my pg test to the first appointment, but she didn't even want to look at it.. Technically they didn't prove I was pregnant until I was about 13 weeks when I had an emergency scan, up until then I could have been faking it...

my gp/mw didnt test either. At the dr's i needed to get a medical note ( to get money back from a private op i was due to have ), and she didnt want to write me one, cos she said 'well im just taking your word for it that you're pregnant arent i? ' and STILL didnt test LOL

I also had my midwife meeting yesterday!! And in Essex!!

she didn't give me scan date- said they'd write to me about it. Which hospital are you going to have your LO in? x

I think I'm a couple of weeks in front of you.

Prob St. Johns, Chelmsford.. .. but its a little old, so don't know how good/new/clean it is, how up to date equipment they have etc.

ALSO. they told me yesterday that the nucal fold test that they do.. was only brought in last week!!! which I thought was a bit strange, as everyone I've read on here all have it done anyway.

I'll be a southend one.

I won't have a nuchal fold scan- the downs test is a blood test at southend

I was in 2 minds to go to Basildon (new maternity unit there) or St Johns, In Chelmsford.. which is pretty old, but still good!!

I was born at basildon and my mum was treated awfully so I am a bit wary.... saying that I doubt it's the same staff as 19 years ago! x

Id recommend queens at romford its all newly built and everything..or harold wood ..i was born at rushgreen xx

They pretty much take your word for it now. I don't know anyone whose Dr or MW tested them at all

They made me do a urine test and sent it off
