Over the past 2 weeks I have been giving Odhrán a Cow & Gate fruit pot at lunchtime (between bottles).. And today I tried him with some rusks.. It took me THREE attempts before it was edible lol  With the rice & porridge they give you a guideline to get you started.. But there was no amounts of either thing advised.. It ended up quite lumpy, I tried it 3 different ways.. Crumbled the rusk then added milk and mixed, then broke the rusk up into different pieces and poured milk over it.. Then put the rusk in whole and poured the milk over and mashed it.. All 3 attempts had it with lumpy bits in.. Is there a certain way I should be doing it? I feel like a right numpty writing this

i have no idea really hun, what about making sure the milk is warm first unless your already doing that! hope someone who knows replies soon xxx

Try adding the milk a little bit at a time until you get it the right way :)
p.s. I love rusks and can't wait to have an excuse to buy them again haha!

i use warm water and i break the rusk into 4/5 big lumps and bash with spoon . have you seen the banana flavour ones?? xx

I'm using the warm milk atm, yeahh that's the ones he has lol says on the front of them you can add them to your fruit puree.. I can't even mush them with warm milk nevermind cool fruit puree  I guess this will just be a case of practice makes perfect xx

Rusks are yum! I used to put a rusk in a bowl, put warm milk over it and let it soak, then mash it up (For me! lol)

Yeah, i let it soak for a while in warm milk. worked a treat!!

I used warm milk and I found rusks don't need that much liquid.

Oh YUM rusks ....I loved munching them

 I have never tried them! Might give them a go in the morning xx
