I have read that eggs with the lion mark are salmonella free ( I know they inject the chickens to prevent it) so do you think its safe to have a runny fried egg, I mega want egg and chips! Please someone tell me yes!

I had them occasionally still....but then I dont usually do as I'm told....

i worked on the same logic you are.....with my last pregnancy I was in California at 10 weeks pregnant, tucking into eggs benedict every morning for almost a week before I remembered about the whole runny eggs thing.....

I have had them once I think. I do try to be good though, although I'm sure occasionally won't do any harm xx

ive had one since i found out i was pregnant i didnt think one would hurt but since hearing that you can get salminela ive been put off tryin to do as im told even though i luvvvvv runny egg :( lolx

I love runny eggs :( I cant stand cooking scrambled eggs til they're dry. My OH asked what was different about my scrambled eggs (very tactful, he meant, why are they so god awful!) I make the best scrambled eggs but keep em runny. My parents keep chickens so I have theirs runny cos I know they're healthy chickens and there are only 5 of them and loads of space so much less chance of infection. Actually when one does get ill all the other chickens gang up on it and dont let it in the coop so it filters out the poorly ones. Its just weighing up the risk of salmonella. I'd do it!

Green light then..well on the odd occasion at least! I dont want to eat them all the time but I really love dipping my chips in the egg! Saddo! This also means that I have to get a deep fat fryer as I dont have one and I really want some home made chips! Thanks everyone!

mmmmmm..runny eggs. I miss them!

o mmiss runny egg and baco butties ssssoooo much

I reckon Im just gonna take the risk and have one for lunch.

I carried on eating eggs in my two previous pregnancies and my boys were fine. I think take eveything with a pinch of salt as the rules on what to eat seem to change every few years just like the care of babies x
