Royal jelly and Evening primrose oil dosage

Hi ladies. I just wondered if anyone could clarify the reccommended dose for evening primrose oil when TTC? I know it shouldn't be taken after ovulation.
Also I have read some great things about Royal jelly boosting the health of ovaries and egg production. Apparantly Its also good for men to take as it improves sperm production and quality. Is anybody taking this and if so how much?

Hi love! I'm taking 1000mg of evening primrose but not sure of the proper dosage.

I am also taking 1000mg of EPO - I wouldn't want to take any more than that as it seems to have a big effect on my cm - like it can make it like fertile cm even just after my af when it wouldn't normally be, lol. Beware it causes shiny loo paper with every wipe (sorry tmi )

Can I just ask a quick question linked to this.. I don't know much at all about things like this as I've never read up on it or taken anything but is this the kind of thing you only really need to take if you dont have much CM or is it recommended to take when TTC anyway even if you already can see changes in your CM? xx

From my understanding it mainly helps spermies live longer. So the way I see it, it can't do harm to help the little guys swim upstream.

BTW first ewcm today for me! Yippee!! I'm hoping for + opk today when I get off work in a couple hours. I have noticed much more CM since taking EPO. Sorry for TMI.

Hi ladies,

I've also started taking EPO this month to, and i have noticed a subtle difference in my cm, some days its there some days its not. I've started off on 1000mg also but i know some ladies on here take upto 3000mg! I'm gonna see how i get on this month on a 1000 and maybe next month increase.

I've never heard of the royal jelly but sounds like its worth investigating!! wheres the best place to buy it?? And how much do you take??

Aw thanks girlies! I thought I should be taking 3000mg of evening primrose oil-Maybe that is a bit much! I'm not sure of the royal jelly dose though so taking 500mg of that xxx

How long should you take the primrose oil for? I have 1000mg caps so do I take them from cd1 - ovulation? X

Hey poppy,

Yeah thats right,you take them from cycle 1 until day of ovulation or in our case, the day of peaks on our monitor!

Well I can really notice a difference in my cm and I'm only on cd 8! Have set an alarm on my phone to stop taking after ovulation. I don't suppose anyone else is taking royal jelly? Or any other supplements for that matter? xx

My consultant said I could try royal jelly (when I asked) but he didnt sound too convinced by it. He prescribed me DHEA for improving egg quality and 75mg aspirin as the DHEA can make you more prone to clotting. He recommended 1000mg per day of the RJ if i wanted to take this too (which I will as it can't do any harm!).
I'm also thinking of taking epo next cycle as since Feb my EWCM has been much less, although I've invested in some conceive plus too.xx

I'm only taking 1000mg me EPO and 400 folic acid. I was gonna buy royal jelly capsules whilst out but I couldn't remember if it was definately them I needed. Now I know it is I'll be taking them next cycle at 1000mg like mishi says, but will mention it to my specialist at my appointment this month. X x

Thank you for this info Mishi. I have been taking 500mg of RJ as I couldn't find the correct dosage anywhere. I am going to increase now to 1000mg. Oh also been taking RJ and well man conception. Do you mind if I ask you what DHEA stands for? Thanks again xx
