Not been on in a while as I've tried not to think about ttc as the last 2 years it has taken over my life.
I have PCOS and ended up on Clomid last May- 7 cycles later and im still not pregnant :(
We have our review app next Tuesday- I have no idea what to expect. Is it likely that we will then get referred for IVF? Or will I get given more Clomid? Would like to hear stories from others about what happened after they finished Clomid.

Xx

Hiya jadeb I wondered what happened to you, I hoped that the clomid was a success :-( I also did 5 cycles ovulation occurred, did it for you? We have our review next week but on our last appointment our consultant wants to try 3 medicated cycles of iui before ivf.

Big big hugs we will get there xxxx

Hello,

Not got any helpful advice but just wanted to say welcome back, been thinking of you and got everything crossed for you :D xxxx

Thanks ladies.
Hope you're well.

I ovulated 6 of the 7 cycles of Clomid but unfortunately we didn't conceive :( so frustrating

I'm have a feeling Iui will be the next step- scared of Ivf because then that's it. If that doesn't work then its the end of the road.
Was hoping the F it Attitude would have helped the last few months but nope :(
Xxx

So sorry about the Clomid not working for you and how worried you're feeling.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you that iui goes perfectly for you and you have that sticky bean before you know it :)
Let me know how your appointment goes! xxx

Thanks lovely.

How have you been? X

I'm okay thank you- cycles have been quite irregular since the m/c in December with really short cycles and I'm just waiting for my first fertility appointment to come through :)
Saying that, this month my cycle seems a bit longer again so may be getting back to norm fx :) xxx

So sorry to hear about your mc :(

Hopefully they will get back on track so it makes things easier- I'm cd36/37 I think- lost track as I'm not temping properly as I've kinda given up, but I'm pretty sure I've not ovd yet- my cycles on Clomid were about 35 days- damn PCOS :(

Hope you're first app isn't too long to wait- we had to wait about 6 weeks for ours and then another 8 weeks for my hsg then another 4 weeks after they to start the flomid- I hate all the waiting involved.
We've just had to wait 6 weeks for the review app- and if we are referred for ivf then more waiting for that :( x

Hi jadeb

I had 6 rounds, had great levels of progesterone, follicles etc and yet still no bfp!! It is sooooo frustrating! We were referred for ivf after finishing the clomid. At our clinic I think they do Iui if sperm count or sperm motility etc an issue.

It really does take over your life!! At the clinic the success rates of ivf if under 35 years old are 70%!! So pretty good! Don't be worried about it being the end of the road because there are loads of things they try within the ivf procedure to make it work for the individual couple so even if it does not work the first time they will tweek things and try again. Plus one cycle is one egg collection so if you get more than one good embryo that's more than one go on just one cycle and most clinics provide at least 2!

We are just about to start our IVF journey and I used to feel like you but all I feel at the moment is excited....

Good luck xxx

Hiya :)

Hubby's had 3 tests done- first two low morphology but the 3rd was better than average so doc said nothing to worry about although it's still in the back of my mind. Perhaps they would try iui before ivf then. It's the unknown that I hate.

Whereabouts on ur ivf journey are u? I have no idea what the timeframe is from discussing it to then starting it and what u need to do to prepare?

Good luck to you too :) xx

Thanks jadeb xxx
Yes hopefully they will get back on track, they where always a bit all over since coming off the pill but hoping this is the year they get back to norm!
Yeah theres so much waiting. Well its been 3 weeks and I rung the other day and apparently they only just got round to sending it off so will be another few weeks before they even send appointment letter apparently! Fingers crossed everything runs quickly for you :) xx

We came off clomid in October and we have had 3 IVF appts since then ( we had to go on a waiting list of 2 months as we live in wales!! We have our final appt to work out treatment plan next week and then you start on cd 21 so for me it will start at the end of March with a endometrial scratch and drugs! About 5 weeks later you take a pregnancy test!! The first few apps are paperwork and a presentation on the procedure xx

Aw wow that's a lot of waiting- mind u what's a few more weeks to the years it's already been!
What did they do in ur 3 apps? Would we have to have more tests and bloods etc?

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :) how exciting getting closer to your Dream!!
X

Tell me about it! It feels like a lifetime after 2.5 years and some ladies on here have been trying for lots longer!

1st appt was filling in application for funding and getting paperwork for fsh bloods for me and ex sperm test for hubby as it had been over a year since the last ones.

2nd appt was filling in consent forms, there are loads!! And then a presentation - slide show on

I have also had bloods for checking my ovarian reserve - I can't remember what it's called!

Good luck for Tuesday! Let me know how you get on! Our appt is Thursday so hopefully we both get some life plans sorted!!

I hate the not knowing!! I am going to be a mum and when!?

Xxxx

Fingers crossed we have good news this week!!

I figured there would be a lot of paperwork to do! How long did u have to wait between the appointments? Sorry 21 questions lol!

I remember when we had been trying 5 months and felt that was a lifetime- yet as u say 2 half years later..... Praying that were still not here another 2 years later looking back and saying how this wait felt forever!

Xx

Talk about waiting, I was really looking forward to our iui appointment this week an thought that we could start this cycle, had been waiting since January for it. Had a letter yesterday nd it's been cancelled till mid may!

I am gutted, you ladies will know how it feels you can keep going knowing that you have a plan an when that changes I just felt as if I can not cope! But like you were saying I've waited 2 1/2 years what's another 2 months!

Xxxxxxxx

Omg how awful for you! That's also not fair that you now have to wait even longer for it! They should get u in sooner! I would complain! Hurts enough as it is without then getting ur hopes up for u then to be told u gotta wait :( do they not know what an emotional rollercoaster it is!?!?

Hi ladies

We had one of our ivf appt cancelled and I was a wreck!! Cried like a baby at work!! It's awful, every day feels like a big wait! You just don't settle until a bfp I don't think... It's sooo annoying but 2 months will be here soon and in the meantime keep trying? I keep hoping that our cancelled for a reason... I.e I am pregnant now and won't need ivf!! That's what I am praying for but today I feel low and eating chocolate like I do before AF so now I don't feel hopeful! I hate waiting!!

Our 1st appt was 6th February so it's been quick in between appts :) x

Waiting is the worst part. I've had to wait about 6 weeks for this review app and finished my last round of Clomid in jan- because of the pcos I don't ovulate and the fact that we've had to wait 6 weeks I think I could have fitted another round of Clomid in and had another shot at trying but we can't :(

I don't ever think we will be truely happy until we get our bfp :( even days where u try not to think about it, pregnancy and babies are all around. Dreading mothers day xx

I hate waiting :( . I'm having to wait 6 weeks just to get my appointment letter for my referral appointment through the door. Apparently that can be up to 12 weeks away so may of waited 18 weeks just to have the initial appointment where details just get taken and nothing else really happens :(. Why does it have to be so sloowww. Xx
