Reusable nappies?

Hi ladies,
I'm thinking about moving over to reusable nappies for Sam, and was hoping for a bit of advice.
Does anyone have any recommendations of specific types/makes?
Also any experiences of using them (good or bad)? How about laundering them...easy or a pain in the bum?
