Hi,

Elliott has got a slight redness on either side of his mouth - I don't think it's from any one kind of food as I've tried isolating them (and he's only on 4 anyway- carrot, parsnip, pear and banana) so I don't think it's an allergic reaction but rather a patch of sore skin from having the food spread over it maybe? I've been putting vaseline around his mouth before feeding him to try and stop the redness from getting sore with the food and wiping it with a damp flannel after he's finished and putting some more vaseline on afterwards but has anyone else had this or have any tips? Do you use a damp flannel to clean up afterwards or something else that might be softer? Hmm....

I think it's the food anyway as if it was dribble I guess it would be his chin not the sides of his mouth that would be affected though he does still use a dummy so it could be saliva + food in contact with face when using dummy?

Thanks

Do you think he could have had contact with something through putting any new toys or his hands in his mouth??? Seren is always trying to put stuff in her mouth and I guess Elliotts the same. If not the dummy sounds the most plausible to me. Hope his face clears up soon x
