Hi all,

I have finally (after years) got a GP to agree with me that I have a progesterone issue in the second half of my cycle. I knew she would take me seriously as she is an amazing GP. Anyways I have to go down the private route for this as GPs can't prescribe it.
Just wondering if any of you can recommend a specialist/clinic in London area?

There are so many when I google that I just get confused so any help would be appreciated xx

I'm at the lister near Chelsea bridge, they are great. Some hospitals have specialist areas they cover, I'm not aware of anywhere that specialises in progesterone issues but this is a great hospital, clean, friendly, modern. Everything has been positive. Good luck x

Thanks hun, I will have a little look at their website. I don't think there will be a place that specialises in progesterone but I assume most, if not all of the clinics will prescribe it (I hope) xx

ohh lisey just seen this im so glad someones listening now and you may have your answer
fx for you! xx

Thanks hun, it took long enough for someone to listen. I just hope the specialists agree too. Don't want it to be a wasted journey and of course money wasted too xx

If you're thinking longer term and it be more treatment I'd try to find a good one close to you but if it will be one or two consults then I'd go with the lister. If I'd still been working in London or we weren't actually pursuing fertility treatment I'd have considered them for sure xx

Thanks Dee, I think it will just be a consultation or two but you just never know what's going to happen. I think we are going to go with the same hospital as where we had our NHS fertility appointment as it has a good reputation and close by xx

You can't underestimate convenience with this sort of thing, especially if you have another child to factor in. Go for it hon xx

Thanks Dee, they have a good reputation too and its the one my GP recommended :) I am excited and nervous at the same time. Just wish I had done it a long time ago xx

I wish we had too. And I wish I pursued clomid too when it was floated last October as an option, now I know one tube is still dodgy it perhaps would have doubled our chances, but hey ho, it's all got to be for a reason right? Xx

That's my thinking with clomid. There is a chance it is only possible for me to get pregnant from one side and was thinking clomid might increase my chances but it can make endo worse so its a tough decision if they do suggest that as an option for me.
I hope its all for a reason. I do usually say everything happens for a reason but its so hard to stick by that sentiment when there is so much pain along the way xx

Hey hon,
It seems you've decided but just to let you know I saw Luciano Nardo before going down the ivf route, and he was fab and so, so lovely. He's Maybe Baby's fertility doc too.
Good luck with wherever you decide.
xxxx

Hi Mishi,

Thanks for posting, any recommendations welcomed.
I haven't booked anything so still open to suggestions. Where is he based? xx
