Hi Girls,

Hope you are all well,

I had an appointment with a fertility specialist yesterday, and they have said they are going to try me on Clomid which is great.

I'm booked in for an ultrasound but, they said that they weren't sure whether to do a HSG or a Laperoscopy, that my GP wanted me to have to check my tubes.

Has anyone had any tests before being given Clomid or did the docs just put you straight on it?

Hi Maybe Baby

I have unexplained Infertility.

After trying naturally for 18mths my husband was checked first to see if his swimmers were ok. Everything was fine there. My homone level was checked to see if i was ovulating, was tested 3 times for that, all fine.

Then has a lap and dye test to see if my tubes were clear. All fine there.

Then i was put forward for 3 IUI's with 50mg Clomid. I am currently on my third IUI cycle.

Depending on your age and whether you have any fertility problems that you know of, investigations are mostly carried out first.

i had ultrasound befor clomid but this from gp if clomid hadnt of worked id have then gone on for further testin but i fell on 3rd cycle best of luck to you

Hi,

Im on my third cycle of Clomid

My OH sperm results were ok but I had irregular periods and also got ultrasound to check for PCOS but came up negative. Got blood tests to check for ovulation but results were low and put on Clomid and so far so good, looks like i am ovulating so hopefully just a matter of time.
