Less than 3 weeks to dd is due and names are just not happening!
We have a daughter Breagh (bre-ahh) and I love Thea but sounds to similar! I like Romy but it comes and goes!
Any suggestions?!
I like unusual names but nothing wacky!!! Looked at so many sites now!

My jot down list is
Thea
Romy
Auria
Willow (now decided against)
Fauna

Please help!!! X

I really like thea (on my list too) but like u say, rhymes with your daughter's name.
Rowan
Vienna
Wren
??

I agree thea sounds too much like breagh. Looking at the names you mentioned what about Orla (Irish way of spelling it is Orlaith), Ariel, Vivienne (my personal fave), Flora (cos you said fauna lol), Florence, Bridget, Nina?

Awe I love Willow off your list. How come you dont like it? Xx

Ooooo some lovely names! Will have to google them because I like to know the meanings of a name!! I love celtic, Irish names...

Willow is a fab name but there seems to be one hell of a baby boom where I live and the names been mentioned by others too so I think it's going to be one popular this year..... I've seen it a lot on this forum too so shows it's not as uncommon anymore, such a strong yet girly name ;) x

Ah I love Willow too, but my OH doesn't like it :(

How about Romany? Similar to Romy but slightly different!

I liked Romani and Romilly but both sound to people like Romany caravan and now that's stuck in my head!!!
So hard!
We are both agreeing on Romi at the moment! Middle names next!! X

I have a friend called Romy, it's a name you don't hear every day, I love it.
I'm half Irish and always loved Aoifé (ee-fa).

My cousin is called Thea Grace, lovely name as well, such a shame it's so similar to your daughters name, which is also lovely by the way.

Or Saoirse I love (ser-sha). Sorry haha, getting carried away.

You carry on!!!! Ha!!! I love a Thea but yea def too close to dd! And she's Breagh Gracie!!
I love those kind of names they are beautiful but only thing that puts me off is them not looking and sounding anything alike to how they should if that makes sense!! X

I'm having exactly the same problem. Hubby isn't having any of it either, there's no talking him round. I love Talia, but I have a feeling that's not going to go down too well.

What about Blair? It's in fact my brothers name, but after research I see that more girls are called it than boys x

Nevaeh (na-vay-ah) - I'm such a pain, I know you said about it not sounding like it's spelt haha

My nan's middle name was unusual and I love it but my OH doesn't. Her middle name was Emmeline.
(Emma Leen)

I know a talia, your on the same wave length as me!! Are u having a girl??? I have boys sorted but I'm a producer of pink bundles!!
That's unusual emmaline, pretty but I know it will be shortened to Emma! Again a pretty name but that's my other issue, I can't unrelate people and names!!! I can with anyone else's name choices just not mine!!! X
