Hi ladies

I'm just having a debate with myself about whether I should call the doctor or not. For the past few hours I've been having really really sharp stabbing pains in my tummy. All over my tummy not just low down. I've had no bleeding or discharge and still have all my pregnancy symptoms but these pains are a tad worrying! When the pain peaks I double over and it takes my breath away. It eased after a rest but came back again after standing up!

I'm worried that if I call the doctor they say it's wind or something and I've wasted their time!

Id give out of hours a call if you're concerned. Have you tried any paracetamol?

I had pain that sounds like this when I was around 12 weeks. It was muscle pain and I could barely stand up. It happened because I was heaving a lot. It was in my sides but most painful just above my belly button.
If you think it might be that, just rest a lot to give the muscle time to relax. If you think it's something else, it's better to be safe than sorry and you should call someone.

I called the out of hours and they said keep an eye on it and there is any bleeding to go to A&E.

It does sound like what you describe juice. I've been really ill with morning sickness so it might be muscular.

I thought it might be IBS but if feels completely different to my usual attacks, the pain is usually further down and in my back and goes after I go loo!

I've taken some paracetamol and I'm resting for the evening.

Just seen this, I hope you're feeling better today Charliebump?

They still keep coming I think I will go see my gp tomorrow!

Good luck for tomorrow Charliebump3, I really hope it's nothing to worry about xx

They think I might have a water infection! There was some protein in my wee so antibiotics and plenty of rest! I can't believe how horrible a water infection can make you feel xx
