Really embarrasing question..TMI

I know this isn't about TTC but for 2 or more years now i have been suffering with this and i can't stand it anymore!! Also worried this will have affect on TTC aswell and maybe the cause of MMC?
I seem to leak ammonia smelling discharge ALL the time, i have been using pantyliners recently and its just been soaking them and it gets me down...i have had to change my underwear twice today. I'm getting really upset about it cos its getting really bad...only thing i can think of is i don't drink enough water. I went to the doctors a few month ago with it as i thought i had BV they tested me for BV and STI's and all came back negative and there was nothing wrong...there must be this is not normal!!! I can't cope with it anymore...ive tried not using soap for a few days to see if it was the soap i was using but its getting worse. sorry for ranting i just feel so sick of it!!

Oh gosh.

I found something called Bacterial Vaginosis where someone else with it described as ammonia smelling discharge.

It requires antibiotics and can be reaccuring but doesn't seem to have any other effects like on your efforts to ttc.

That is assuming it isn't a nasty case of thrush...

lol, i don't think i could EVER go on there ...plucked all my courage up to write it on here thank you for the suggestion though...my doctors are useless aswell so i don't want to go back they make me feel like im making everything up. Im searching the internet now looking for more info but BV keeps coming up and i know its not that x

Try not to worry if you've been to the doctors. Have you tried that feminine soap? Can't remember what it's called, but will have a look and let you know if you're not sure what I'm talking about. xxx

My cm doesnt really smell (tmi) but it does tend to bleach my knickers eventually (tmi)! Anyone had similar? lol. I was panicking but spoke to my best friend and she has the same. So hoping its normal!

I'm going to get some i think or some baby soap as i have heard feminine soap makes it worse as it messes up the bacteria? not sure how true it is.
My underwear tends to be bleached at times aswell i think thats pretty normal.
Its not the worrying its more that i can feel it coming out...and it stinksss! TMI lol! Seriously it can be soaked sometimes and ive tried everything...I don't think its normal atall. thanks for the info hun xxx

hmmm, i had a friend a few years ago who was campaining to try and raise awareness of bacterial vaginosis (lol she was a very stunning confident girl!!) and she had been to the doctors with it and they hadnt been any help - there is no way of testing for it apparently but there are creams etc you can buy. Ive never had it myself but do get a little bit every now and again which does stain underwear after a time. I can imagine how horrible it must be for you hun.

I think just go to Boots and buy everything you can find for bacterial vaginosis - also maybe try wearing looser underwear ?

Been searching and found something called Leucorrhoea and it says about intestinal worms being what can cause it also too much sex and a few others...maybe it would be worth getting some medicine incase? wouldnt harm ill try anything! Also gonna get some cranberry juice aswell and as you said some creams. Ill end up spending a fortune but it will be worth it i hope thanks hun xx

Have you tried the vagisil stuff? You can get a gel wash and wipes. Could take the wipes out with you in the day and use a panty liner so you can change? Do feel for you hun, not very nice to have to deal with. Bodies can be funny things.

If it helps at all with embarrassing stuff, I occasionally fanny fart (tmi!) lol!! tends to be before I'm due on, only started happening this year. Its horrendous as you can't stop it from happening. OMG way tmi but there you go. Hope that gives everyone a giggle!

Hi. I really feel for you. I would ask for a specialist referral if your GP is of no help. Not sure if it would be to GUM or gyn specialist. Sorry to ask this but it isn't a slow leak of urine? I'm only asking cos I'm a nurse and seem something similar before. x

Well sometimes i think it is urine and i have a week bladder but why would i just start with one a couple of years ago and it get worse? also i forgot to add when im wearing my pantyliner i have yellow discharge nt alot of it is yellow though. I really dont think it is urine now as ive read up and some people get ammonia smells and it wasen't urine...it just doesnt "feel" like it is when i feel it coming out TMI i dunno if you get me but i know what i mean lol it feels like when you have alot of discharge god this post is way TMI like.... xx

Don't worry about tmi that's the beauty of this site. We've all got embarrassing bodies, don't think you're alone chicky. We can all pull our heads together on this one and figure it out! Have you ever tried canesten? Wonder if you've got a touch of thrush maybe. Also maybe cotton knicker will help?

I went to the GP with a similar problem a few years ago, he couldn't diagnose anything in particular but advised:-

1. only wearing cotton knickers- no lace/satin etc and no thongs/g strings etc.
2. drinking lots of water (2.5ltrs a day- and tea/coffee is a diuretic so is counter productive)
3. don't use soap on your personal areas! Wash the inside of your legs and labia majora with a specialist wash if you must, but rinse the intimate areas with fresh water only- no scrubbing!

This may be completely different but i wanted to let you know what happens with me, sounds simular and i was curious what it could be too..
I can go to the loo and wee and wee.. i finish and within a few seconds/minute i feel it come out.. i rush to the loo as it feels like loads but it never is..
mine is only after loo, i tried sitting on the loo for ages, but it only ever comes once ive finished. its not urine, its kinda cm but stlightly has a urinal smell?! i take it yours is just when ever in the day?
My doc just said i need to do bladder exercises but that never really worked for me, i just try sit on the loo for a long time, or hover near loo after. its actually really embarassing, especially if your somewhere when theres a cue outside! Aslo been checked for sexually transmitted diseases, and all fine..

Yeah hun mine is just all the time but that really does sound simular...i think i know what u mean and if i remember rightly that has happend to me quite a bit...maybe its something to do with what im experiencing? i think mine is cm aswell feels a bit like i have come on but havent.
