Reaction to antibiotic

Naomi's got two infected ears...again. Linked to teeth, the doctor seems to think. Something must be! She's only got two and she's past eleven months!

Anyway, the dcotor wanted to clear up Naomi's ears and so prescribed Klacid, with a one-year-old dose!

One spoonful fifteen minutes after her tea yesterday evening and Naomi puked EVERYWHERE! I mean she suffers from reflux yeah, but I've never seen her vomit so much.

So we've changed the Klacid for something else and she's fine.

BUT

Does that mean she has an intolerance to Klacid or was it just too strong for her little tum? OH brought her back to the doctor and of course forgot to ask

Two members of my family have severe intolerances to certain types of penicillin so was just wondering.

As she is nearly 1 i would say she is allergic to it. I am allergic to amoxycillin and so is my eldest daughter, but my other daughter is ok on it. Just mention it next time you go the docs and ask them to make a note of it on her file.
