I wasn't going to call the midwife for another couple of weeks, but decided to ring this morning as have been 'uncomfortable' (not pain, or cramps or anything just not right lol) and have had almost constant light brown discharge for about 2 weeks.
Anyway, she's on annual leave LOL Typical!
She left the number for the maternity ward at the loal hospital on her answerphone, so I rang tht and spoke to a lovely lady who said it could all be perfectly normal, she bled red, and quite a bit, with both her kids apparently, but if I was worried speak to my GP who can refer me to the EPU for a scan just to check.
Just wanted to double check.. of those of you that have been to the EPU for an early scan.. how far along were you, what did they see and did you find it reassuring?
I'm really not massively concerned, hubby and I are prepared for the worst anyway, and I'm def not in pain or having red blood.. but I just thought yesterday that if it was going to go wrong, or if it was going wrong already, then I need to get it sorted sooner rather than later? I know it sounds a bit doom and gloom again.. but I'm really pretty sure that all is well... I just don't know how much they'll be able to see at the mo, and I think I might end up more worried if it's too early to tell than if I don't go at all!
According to the first day of last AF dates I'm 6+2, but I know it's not that far. 2 days into last AF I had dental surgery and I know we didn't 'do it' for at least a week after!
So, if you have been to the EPU, why did you go, how far along were you, what did you see and did it help to go is what I really want to know
Thanks girls xxx
