I know my scan isnt for ages yet , but I was thinking last time I was much slimmer and I was wondering will my big fat belly mean I wont get a clear pic , of that i wont get a bump ffor ages or wont feel baby moving for ages ( getting totally ahead of myself here) but I was really thinking about this , I was a size 10-12 before now im a 14-16

take a look at my preggy journal hun, and my first scan pictures I was a 12- 14 when I got pregnant more on the 14 size of things lol... so duno my first picture was amazing could see his little legs and everything ... and as far as the bump appearing mine for me was defo after 20 weeks x

I was a size 6 when I had my first and a 12 when I had my second and both were as clear as each other. As for bumps every women and pregnancy is different, I gained weight with my first but didnt really show as such till 6 months with my second I was around 3 months and this time I have gone up well over a clothes size already and am kinda showin already. Maybe it because I am more aware this time round, not really sure. Hope that helps and I havent rambled on too much,

I read that if you are obese then you may need a trans vaginal scan to get a clear pic - I am a size 20, so was a little worried about this and asked my midwife...she said they would only need that if the woman was very very big indeed. My scans and pics have all been beautiful As for bump and movement I did feel that late and do feel my fat belly played a part in that - but with you only being a size 14-16 I really wouldn't think that would be a problem for you, that's still quite slim (as far as I'm concerned, lol!!) xx

Dont worry TT Im wearing tops ranging from 18 - 22 now but was 24 when I got pregnant and my scans are fab, they and myself have no problem finding babies HB and he or she kicks and punches and you can see it perfectly well through my clothes so dont worry...I think they mean youd have to be massivly overweight before they couldnt tell...xxx

I was a size 16 and had no problems with any of my scans, just make sure you have a full bladder. As for feeling the baby I felt mine from 17 weeks! Don't worry I don't think it makes any difference.
