Couple of weeks ago, just got to work, i had a good days sleep (work nights), had breakfast and lots of fruit. I felt fine. But all of a sudden i just got dizzy and fainted, the first time i landed on the kitchen floor, luckily it was lino flooring, the second time i landed in a dining room and banged my head i was un-concious for about aminute. So went to urgent care and they just said everything was normal all tests were fine except from having concussion. So went home and rested.

Then again last night was at work sat down so didnt make any sudden movement or anything and felt dizzy, and fainted, luckily didnt hurt myself except a nice grazed and bruised knee.

Its really getting to me now, i work with the elderly and diabled in their own homes so i panic them when it happens and it can be dangerous as i am scared one day i will faint when i have hold of them or hoisting someone.

My oh is one of my managers and is trying his best to help me were he can, by coming to work with me when i am alone but we cant do that all the time......
I am also not sure wether i can finish work A. because of the money. B. whether the doctor would give me a sick note because of it. and C. it doesnt happen all the time so i may finish work and it not happen again.

Just worried that it cold happen again but this time i wont land on my back it will be my belly, and i could hurt the baby.

Has this happened to anyone else, random fainting???????????

(sorry for the rant)

I haven't experienced it, but I know dizziness is common with pregnancy. Have you been to a doctor or midwife since yiu went to urgent care? It is probably a good idea to follow up if you keep feeling this way. I hope it's nothing though, and just part of pregnancy! Xx

Hi hun, I do home care and am also prone to fainting even when not pregnant lol (very low blood pressure). What you need to do is recognise any warning signs...have you noticed if your legs ached before hand? Mine do because of blood pooling. Also if I put my head back and then down it takes a second for my vision to clear.
Keeping my blood sugar up at work helps and also thinking more on straightening up, say after putting on a hoist sling or socks/slippers making sure I move slowly.
If you can't work on double calls can you ask to be put with clients who are compus mentus enough to ring the office or an ambulance for you if something does happen? xxxxxxxxxxx

I keep feeling dizzy and faint but it doesn't happen.

they say you can faint if you lie down flat after wk 16 of pregnancy- have you been sleeping on your back?
if not, then i would deffo go to doctor- maybe your not getting enough of a certain vitamin or you may now be aneamic?
good luck

I only ever get this when I have skipped a meal so I cant really give any good advice. I would get your blood tested for low iron maybe? xx

I have had dizzy spells where the room spins like when you are drunk by now passing out. Sorry can't help. xxx
