I'm just starting to realise to norm-acity of my new house. We just did a furniture re shuffle and I've realised my house is huge something since moving in I haven't really paid any notice to. Even my hall way is the size of my old kitchen 0.o how have I been walking around with my eyes shut?

Anyone else walk into someone else's house and be like oh look at this and that and "oh I wouldn't let it get dirty there" but then actually LOOKING at your own home it's like OMG!! Have I been going round with my eyes shut?! Lol iykwim?

Yup I totally do that. I love love love my house, but we bought it to renovate and still have quite a few rooms to do. Somehow I have become oblivious to how horrible the decor is in those rooms, but other people must come in and think WTF!!

No we have this horrid textured plastered white painted walls looks like it has tiny spikes all over it - Blugh!! Lol

Oh nightmare! Is it artex? Very 70's, lol! You do wonder what the hell people were thinking when they decorated! When we moved in our bathroom was lilac! And I mean, lilac toilet, bath, shower, sink, cupboard, tiles, curtains, carpet! There was even lilac bin liners in the lilac drawer, lol! It was so bad it was good iykwim!

My bathroom is olive green and did have pink carpets :s we are going to get a new bathroom in the new year . We moved in on the 12th of November and the house was full of orange green and brown patterned carpets and either floral or wood chip wall paper but oh took some time off and I has holiday + mat leave and we just have kitchen, bathroom and sunroom left to modernise

Yep it's artex! Lol!! It is a wonder what people are thinking of isn't it lol!!

My before shorts are allot worse than them! Lol!! Infact my now shots are worse than them lol!!

Funny thing is I remember people having those green bathroom suites when I was a wee girl! Your living room looks great now, what a huge space! I'll need to see if I can find photos of what my bathroom was like. We only really have the hall and front living room left to do now, thank goodness!

We were lucky as the only decorated room when we moved in was the bathroom newly tiled so I was like yeeeees! Hate decorating bathrooms lol!

I just wish they would pass a law to say woodchip wall paper is illegal ! Our last two houses have had woodchip wallpaper and I refuse to spend my life stripping any more of it
