Quick update from me!

Hi Missj, just caught up on this...how ridiculous your gp is!! :-( As the other girls have said totally unacceptable and i would probably put in a complaint too. You are already stuck in the 'not knowing' situation and now you have doctors not doing their job right! I don't see how the labs could refuse either, i am guessing paperwork wasn't filled in, so disappointing.

I hope you are okay, and hubby is looking after you. There is the thought you can hold onto that af is still not here. Be strong hun, i hope this gets sorted for you soon xxx

Hey Miss J. Everything I would say has already been said. It's absolutely disgusting what has been happening at your doctor's surgery. I would leave straight away and put in formal complaint about your current GP practice.

Hope you and hubby are both doing ok.:hug::hug:

Morning ladies, thanks for all the replies!

My hubby got on to the phone as soon as they opened this morning to get on their case. We finally found out why the clinic refused to do it but to be honest it still sounds a bit weird to me. They said they do not do blood tests to check pregnancy, only miscarriage. :eh:
I told hubby if that was the case then surely they would have checked the level of HCG so they could compare it to the second blood test I would have had if it was a miscarriage test?? Hubby agreed but apparently they didn't bother testing it at all so we've been waiting for nothing. :strangle:

The surgery is going to find out what clinic will do the test for us or whether the nurse at the surgery is willing to do it.

Seriously fecked off - when we were given the paperwork for the blood test the clinic we went to was listed on it which is why we went to this particular clinic!

On the plus side, you're right, CD89 today and no AF. My only consolation I suppose.

We should know what the next step is by around 3pm. I've already told hubby I want to move to another GP but we've got to find out if there's any spaces available.

Thanks again for all your replies, you've all been so wonderful and such a support.

Hi MissJ

Hope you find a new GP soon, so hacked off for you - these guys are a complete joke!! Grr

Don't let anybody fob you off in your quest to find out what the heck is going on!!

Even without any results to confirm anything I'm still hoping things are positive for you hun xx

Ohh what a mess miss j!! I feel like going slapping them for you!!!!

Hope your ok :(

But yeah no AF is good!!!

Have you tested recently?

Xxx

Thanks girls, still feeling positive...Ish! :)

Not done any tests lately, was going to just go with the blood test as it'd be more accurate. There's a possibility we could have a blood test tomorrow but til they get back to hubby, we're not sure whether we want to do another HPT or wait for the blood tests. x x

I forgot to add, sorry Jenny, totally forgot but no, didn't have to POAS at the GP's. x x

Hey miss j,

Why don't you put yourself out of your misery and just do a hpt??

Surely even with low hcg you would get a line by now, and to be honest Hun you need to think of the baby too some women with really low hcg need hcg injections to help maintain the pregnancy.

At least if you have positive test you can walk into a&e and arrange a scan especially considering you fell down the stairs!!

Forget the stupid docs you can sort this out yourself.

Good luck.

Xx

I agree with maybe Hun..

I know it's scary and not as accurate as a blood test but it may be worth a shot.

Xxx

Thanks Maybe. Hubby is picking up an HPT on his way home from work. x x

I'm in agreement with the girls hun, it's hard enough having to deal with your GP as it is let alone being in the unknown

I'm so annoyed for you MissJ. Their treatment of you is just a f-ing joke (scuse the language). I understand that as the norm, they do not use blood to test for pg but in the unusual circumstances, how long your cycle is etc, surely they must see that it is necessary this time. And surely it's not down to the lab to decide what they test for, it should be up to the Dr/Nurse/specialist that orders the tests to be done in the first place - the lab do not have yur medical background, they are just there to do the test they have been asked to do. Grrrrrrr. This has really got my back up.

When I went to my Dr to tell her I was pg, SHE filled out the form to go with the vials of blood and wrote on there what SHE needs them to test for. They don't decide that.

Sorry, I'm ranting now! Do you want me to phone them for you?!!! LOL.

You could always jsut go down there and REFUSE to move until something is done. Do they not think that it is something that requires immediate investigation as to why your cycles are so long anyway?

We will be doing the HPT tomorrow morning. Probably ClearBlue cos our local Morrisons doesn't stock FRs!

Aw hun. My GP wrote on the form that my cycle was over 80 days etc but they still refused it. :( Hubby won't let it go til they do what they said they will, unless we get our BFP with an HPT tomorrow that is. x x

Good luck, I really hope you get a BFP in the morning and you can stick two fingers up at your crappy Dr!

Miss j,

Pm me your address and I'll post you some Cheapies and may even have a frer!!

Xx

Thanks for the offer Maybe, I'm going to avoid the cheapies cos they bring out the POAS addict in me. ;) Not in a hurry to test at all either lol I'm dreading it! :(

I think I have one ov test left though. x x

Ohh I dunno miss j :(
They are winding me up! *sigh*
I'm not as patient as you !! I just want to kno damn it!!!
I posted a pic on one from FMU on my thread and it does have a line ( I think )

I'm unsure about the OPK Hun - if it was me I would pee on it but I think it would probably be better for your own sake to wait for your HPT xx
