Having been so set on having my baby in the midwife lead unit, and the experience being all laid back and relaxed (well in my head anyway)......I am now facing a possible c-section due to baby being breech!

I had a good chat with my MW yesterday and she doesnt think he will turn now, as obviously been like this for some time (they thought he was head down from 20 weeks), however of course there is always the low statistics that he might.

Im one of these people who like to plan, and cope really well with anything thats thrown at me, but only if I have time to prepare myself.........so now Im in total limbo, Im not stressed about which way my baby is delivered, but I am stressed that I dont know which way it will be, as it means I cant prepare myself or plan properly!

I know there is nothing I can do and its purely a waiting game, but its so hard to get my head around 2 possible types of birth and would rather focus on one or the other, but just dont know which one to focus on!!

Sorry girls just had to get that off my chest.........its been driving me crazy!

I know how you feel Liza, I've got my round the idea of having my section next Friday, but if the baby were to turn (which I don't think it will) I think I'll be feeling quite upset about not meeting my baby and playing the baby waiting game.

hey hun, i am in the same boat as you...... i am 34+4 and baby is breech, she was head down ever since they could feel her and now suddenly breech!! i just dont think she going to turn!! i also didnt want epidural as i wanted to go to the midwife led unit!! but now also looking at the prospect at having a c section :wall: and i dont like it!!!

i also hate not knowing what is going to happen unless i have had it planned as a possibility! people tell me thats the nature of pregnancy but i cant help the way i am!!

all i can say is, me personally am gping to plan that i am going to have a c section and then of i dont then bonus!! i just dont like the idea of the recovery time after c section i dont want it to take away any time i have with baby!!

but one bouns will be that i am looking at is, we will know what day baby coming on and also less distress will be caused to the baby!!

its so hard hun and i can totally see where your coming from!
sorry for the long reply but just wanted to let you know your not alone hun xxxxxxxx

Oh Ellie

I feel exactly the same (with some added terror at the thought of a section!!)

Not only is it the first couple of days but the thought of not being able to drive for 6 weeks fills me with dread..... I have lots planned for after he is due - older children to get to and from uni and airports :D and that will add so much more stress to the whole process!!

There are so many of us on here waiting for babies to turn at the moment, its really surprised me... having said all that my son did turn the week before he was due 19 years ago - I wonder if its a boy thing :D
