hey ladies

i was just reading that your labours are supposed to get shorter the more children you have. Has anyone found this to be true or not?
My labour with Evie was only 6 hours so im hoping it will be a really quick labour next time around. :D

im not sure how many cm i were with each but going by bad pain

i got to hospital at 7pm with Dior i was in pain and i was 3cm she was born 17 hrs later

i got to the hospital at 4am with Harley he was born 1hr later

much much much faster but not any less painfull

Expecting number one myself but speaking to mum she seems to think I took the most work/time to make my appearance, my brother was a lump but a shorter labour and she seems to think my sister was quick as a flash once the waters broke. So perhaps although painful still they do come quicker?

1st was about 20hours
2nd was about 10 hours but it should have been a lot quicker as I had some problems.
3rd was 1 hour 44 minutes.
So yes they have definatly got quicker.

By the time my Mum was on number six, she delivered on the trolley in the entrance way, with just my Dad there. The midwife came past, realised what she was doing and tried to push my sister's head back in.

She had gone to hospital as soon as she had contractions....they weren't even regular. But as each labour had got quicker she thought it best. It took about 15 mins to get to the hospital.

Hi

Does this count if you were induced , my labour was about 15 hours by the time i got to 9 and a half cm and needed a section. does it not count for a second labour if i go on my own this time?

My first labour was 6 hrs and my 2nd was only 2 hrs from 1st twinge to delivering him. Really hoping this one will be even quicker, athough I must say that the faster labour was definitely the most painful ! xx

my first labour was 10 hours, my second was 7 hours, my 3rd was 2 1/2 hours and my 4th was 4 hours (thats how long they were from first twinge till when they were born)

My first was 36 hours, ended up with a spinal block and forceps delivery - 18 hours of intense labour.
My second was 13 hours, totally natural and once my waters were broke, very quick! - 4 hours intense labour.
But my 3rd!!!!!!!! 19 hours, started myself 13 days late but she still was too high up, heartbeat was wild so ended up an emergency c-section after 8 hours of intense labour. Definatly the worse one of the 3!!
