Do you take it off when LO starts using the cot? I presumed you did but then I started thinking where do you change them in the middle of the night? Do you put it on the floor or do you try and wrestle it back over the cot? (which for sleepy me in the middle of the night could end in disaster!). Or because LO only takes up the bottom third of the cot and the changing table takes up the top third does anyone just leave it on? Seems like a stupid question but we are prepping her room so we can move her in soon and just wondered what others did. xxx

Henry doesn't sleep on his cot yet but I'm just gonna leave it where it is & put him the other end until he reaches the changer. Then I'll start takin it off & puttin it on when I need it x

I have been wondering exactly the same thing... We are prepping Emily's cot today and I am not sure what to do with the cot top changer. I am thinking, like you, of having it on the top end of the cot and LO at the other end, but I am scared she might somehow manage to kick it and it might fall on her. I really don't think her kicks would be strong enough (if she could reach even) as the changer is very heavy, but I have that worry none the less. But it would be a pain to keep taking the changer on and off. I really don't want to change LO on the floor as the cot top changer is at the perfect height. Be interesting to see what others have done. X

Ours is very heavy and secure so not worried at the moment in terms of her shifting it (she's only 9 weeks!!) but didn't know if it was any kind of cot death hazard in terms of air circulation around the cot? I'd much prefer to leave it on if poss.

I don't think it would restrict airflow in any way, as it only takes up a portion of the top of the cot. The bars will allow adequate airflow I would imagine (unless you have an all round bumper).

My changer is quite light. It's the universal one from mothercare. It's not a wooden one x

Ours is a wooden one and Alyssia is in her cot and no I dont take it off its down the opposite end to where she sleep, obvioulsy when shes starts getting bigger will take it off but until then it can stay where it is XX
