Question about sex in pregnancy

I know some people say sex in pregnancy can cause a miscarriage, but is it just the orgasm that can cause it or the actual penetration?

Cori Im not sure that sex can actually cause miscarriage, doctors just like to advise against having sex in the first 12 weeks if you have previously had a miscarriage, just to avoid any risks.

I have continued having sex since I first fell pregnant (its getting harder now with such a large bump though ).
