Question about OPKs!!! (libs, help!)

So... I just took an OPK with my second wee of the day... and it came up with a line... still not darker than the other...but definitely close. I'm so excited to see two lines coming up!!! I thought I'd either miss it or I would not even ovulate!

My question is how long after a line appears for the first time (without having to squint to find one..) should a + line appear. (i.e. could it still be a few days away...or tomorrow!)

Libs?.... I'm sure you'll be able to answer me...you being the fountain of all ttc knowledge!!! lol. I'm so glad you're on this forum!
I read that you worry about answering all the questions...but don't! I'm sure I'm not the only one that is soooo grateful...

The only downside of ovulating this weekend... is that I'm going home to Nashville to my mom's house! Looks like her innocent( ) middle child will be doing the dirty in the spare bedroom!!! lol

Hey Hon, this one is tricky because the surge could be beginning or ending. The best way to tell is to do another opk in a couple of hours and if the line is lighter then assume you had your surge a little earlier then you tested and get bedding. To be honest, if the line is darker I would say get bedding too as this is more of a positive. If it is coupled with egg white cm then your body is definetly gearing up for ovulation.

Well... I've been taking the OPKs the past couple of days and I saw an extremely faint line yesterday afternoon...and this one is a definitely darker than that one... so I don't think I've missed it. I've had some really creamy to eggwhite looking CM for the past 3 or 4 days off and on... but it seems to be thicking up and definitely looking more eggwhite today. My cervix is definitely softer and a bit more open...but seems quite low... I've been checking often but not everyday this month..and it always seems a bit easy to reach...so I'm not sure if maybe I'm just anticipating it to move alot more than it's actually suppose to. I reckon it is a bit higher than right after AF early this month. ing that I'm OV soon!

I'm gonna take another OPK before we leave tonight to travel up to Nashville. It will have been about 7 hours since I tested this morning.

Mark is dead excited...I think he is liking the pressure oddly enough... probably because he knows his job is quite easy compared to mine! lol

Looks like I'll be getting an orgasm...and throwing my legs in the air all weekend! wahoo!!

question? too late to eat some natural yogurt to help CM or is that something you have to do everyday?

ovualtion will ocure about 24-48 hours after a pos , but the biuld up im afraid could be a few days ( i get a 2nd line way b3fore and way after pos) or it could be tomorrow , i know thats no good , but just start your bdaing evry other day now , and if u get a pos opk ( test twice a day now about 10 am and 5pm is good and if ya really eager i do 10 pm poas addict ) so if ya get pos , do it everyday (if poss )

and i recon ya will be sorted


oh as for an cm increasing stuff i think u may have left it too late but no harm in trying huh !

without being rude , do u have a lack of cm? cos i do and find preseed is your god ! and it makes sex blooming great

I don't think I've left it too late... I have really long cycles...and so I should be ovulating soon. When I said the CM was increasing... I meant that in a good way... Like it is getting increasing more eggwhite like... which is the most fertile. I don't reallly have a lack of CM... just wondered if it was worth giving it a boost or not.

As I said before I've had both - gradual buildup and a sudden positive. I'd guess maybe tomorrow you'll have your surge, but don't panic about bding - prime days are the day you get your positive and the day after. If you're worried do 2 tests a day - mid morning and late afternoon

Well... we haven't done any BDing this weekend...just didn't really feel like it...and was up late visiting with my family since it had been a while since we have driven the 2 and a half hours to see everyone. I have still been doing the OPKs twice a day since I got the line... but they haven't gotten any darker...and sometimes they even go a bit lighter...but all pretty much the same. Still have some CM.. and cervix feels soft but I'm not sure if it's as open. We're gonna bd tonight...and I'm going in about a week and a half's time to my Ob/gyn to check my progesterone levels to make sure I've OVed

We'll see...
