Questio for anyone who's had IUI

After 3 long years of different fertility treatments I eventually conceived with IUI. What I want to know is what were the injections called that I would have had and do they give you the injections without the putting the sperm in you bit? I want to know as we are planning no.2 end of next year but can't afford the IUI but as the injections worked for me would they just give me them as I ovulated so could have BD and got pregnant.
