I have an Audi TT 2010. I spoke to Audi re isofix anchor points. I have been advised that they are in the front passenger seat.

Can my newborn baby travel re-ward facing in the front seat if I deactivate the air bag? The person at Audi thought so but I can’t find anything re the law on this. I am uk based.

Do you have to use isofix? They recommend babies travel in the back seats due to safety reasons, so perhaps belting the seat into the back of the car is an option?

Babies CAN travel rearward facing in the front as long as the airbag is deactivated (its not possible to deactivate it on all cars, and check that it wont invalidate your insurance if you deactivate it).

Yeah they won’t put iso fix in the back due to needing roof clearance. That’s what Audi said. I have a different car arriving soon but wondered what the law was on the baby being in the front if I deactivated my airbags.
